Best damn post in months.....who can answer it??? When did it ever quit???

Vision and balls make you go far in areas other than football. I miss going back to the Expedition, turning the heat on full blast, and putting on warm dry socks at half time. Toilet seats are rather cool in the Alerus so what is the difference?

Ditto A logo would really help (one that is supported by fans, community, and staff). Can't say I was impressed when I read some suggestions in the paper. I mean NO ONE in MN liked the Wild when it was announced but it grows on you. Retro fitting a building is expensive and difficult...then you seem to lose whatever warranties you have because when problems develop, everyone points fingers. I would totally support banners, posters, photos of players, other UND teams, etc. I like the 4th quarter beer special and maybe ties to a "Get a XXX Beer for XXX with every quarterback sack!" Anything to create an atmosphere...but, a winning team does that. Patience, Patience GO SIOUX!!!

Tough loss... a year ago I said we need 4 years to rebuild and we will....at some point we WILL be better than the Bison

In any sport, or profession, at any level, awards can go to people's heads. Sometimes a MR Football has a had time becoming just one of the guys and waiting his turn in line to play. Sometimes it is the player, or employee, you just take a chance on that outshines everyone. Just life! A Mr. Football would be a great addition but then many students are!

Status of Defense???

Yes I too remember the way they said his name! A very sad day indeed...I remember when they all lived in that house and his mom got them all TP! They were so happy! His brother got married the day of the national championship..

No Matter what the sport, I LOVE quality defense....I love the D line and LBs. In hockey I really LOVE defensemen who play their position and check appropriately. I LOVE LB!!! I miss standing one the third down... Mama Sue

Well, I started as a candistriper before man landed on the moon, spring of 1969. I have been in health care since and 38 years as a registered nurse. Every grad of UND's medical school I have worked with was an EXCELLENY hands-on diagnostic doctor, all exemplary, totally (and proud of their alma mater). I can not count the number of doctors who I have come in contact with. The BEST, BEST, Family Practice Physician I have ever worked with was from UND Medical School. Did he have the Harvard AST scores? NA when he went to school. Did he have the top MCAT score? NA when he went to school. That data does not show common sense and commitment, only grades. It takes much more than a GPA to practice medicine. So is this thread recruiting football players, medical school applicants, or both?

What memories From my limited perspective, it seemed we could do no wrong in the play-offs. I distinctly remember being way ahead of our opponent, hearing "Sweet Home Alabama" playing at the Alerus, and reading a BOOK! During the championship game, from my limited perspective, we did not have the fire or drive or something for 3 quarters. So, we are down with 2 minutes and I am wondering what I will say to my child when I rush out on the field after losing a national championship. I can not say you played your heart out because he will know that I know that is not true. So, I just said, "Lord you will need to guide me on this one " (of course I prayed to win too).
