Good reading for a beautiful afternoon....

No beating your head against a wall trying to get caught up..... weird stuff happening g daily......no breaks..... everyone complaining with a better idea how to do your job. AND all the financial red tape But I loved the 42 years in my profession and would do it all again when a pattient thanks me.... I am sure a coach feels the same way when a player sincerely thanks him.....

Coaching football must be like health care.... just saying.....

I can’t guess.... I want 11 offense and 11 defense players to have one HECK of a good year. Then I want 7 on the second string of offense and defense to have a VERY good year. Then I want 11 special teams players to have a HECK of a good year. Then I want 7 second special teams players to have a very good year. I think that’s all. Is that asking too much? So that is 54 awesome Sioux!

That is why every recruit who mentions furthering his education at UND gets a thumbs up from me. Maybe it is lip service but at least education is mentioned.

No, just that schools can change their offers, students may change their decisions, and the best decision may be the last one!!! I think many students are so WOWED by visits they need time to let it all sink in. Such a huge decision. I have posted before that our son had 3 awesome offers. He was signing the next day. I asked him which school. He responded with the one with the most money on the table. I asked him to forget football and go to the school that would give him the best education for what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. His response was,”Well then it is UND, mom.” No regrets from anyone!

All comes down to the last 24 hours before signing...... in the preceding two weeks,everything changes and schools ante up for key recruits. Go Sioux! Keep ‘em coming!

So.... what does the his lawsuit, filed by 11 former women’s hockey team, do for recruiting for all sports? They have a good lawyer. Stated UND had “repeated failure to determine the athletic interests and abilities of women students and women athletes before it eliminated the women’s ice-hockey program.” Their lawyer just won a $3.74 million award for the former UMD women’s hockey coach.. Time to just play sports!!!!

Well someone better televise that one! The Sioux and Gophers in Vegas is a real money maker. Man!

My mother always said you win more flies with honey than vinegar.... slander has no place but constructive criticism, from a reputable source, can be helpful. Problem is that rarely happens!

I love outdoor football. Memories of going to Memorial Stadium and running to the car at half time... heater on high... putting dry socks on to decrease the chill. That should NEVER be torn down, ever. It is a lovely outdoor facility. Please keep it. An indoor stadium will never have that feel. I like the Alerus but the ambiance is not the same.... including that obnoxious music blaring every time play stops... at Memorial you actually turned to the person next to you and talked. The waterpark, hotels, and eateries make the weekend a great experience, I guess. This is a money issue....

Very true but it seems we are more aggressive and getting out earlier this spring. Great job either way!!
