That's about as ugly a 3-1 UND 2 period lead as you'll ever see.....but I'll take it.
-
Are you talking Miami or North Dakota?
-
My screen has pretty much been frozen like 6 of the last 8 minutes. Missed the SH goal but pic came back just in time for me to see Miami's goal. Sux when you pay to watch.
-
Yoy, youy, yoy. Miami's going to get their 3 power play of 1st period.
-
GOAL! Mismash! About time ND woke up, been sleep walking (Miami hit two pipes already).
-
Nothing short of a sweep this wknd is acceptable with what's on the line, taking in to account Miami's down season (especially of late, woeful), etc. This team has not swept anyone in nearly 3 months (nor swept anyone on the road all season). There's absolutely no excuse to be up for one game then down for the other in terms of intensity, smarts, etc. If they can't sweep Miami this wknd given the circumstances then this team just ain't got the mojo then, they are who they are. Go Sioux!
-
Good point, I'm guessing to some degree it has. Maybe UND is being loyal to her.
-
Refresh my memory, how did they just miss the natty final that season? Critics can bash Haks all you want, but there you have limited top line goal scoring and just one game from the final--wow.
-
Not unless they played in a real tough conference like we do, the NCHC. I keep wondering how in the hell are we at where we are in the Pairwise then I realize just about every week we're playing someone in the top 15 and, although not sweeping or dominating anybody (save for W Mich), we're at least usually in their trading punches for the most part (throw out the Duluth and St Clown series on the road).

Man, I bitch and moan as much as anyone about UND's play this year. Yet, in retrospect, they go into Neb-Omaha to play a powerful HOME team. If you throw out the Mavs 2 ENGs last night we outscore them 6 - 4 on the wknd and play just a few bad minutes on their power plays last night giving up 3 (?) goals and that's it. Kind of like at home vs Den, we don't win a game and blow a 2 goal lead (damn!) but don't lose a game either against a top 2 or 3 ranked team. Will drive me to drink (i.e. keep drinking...).
-
Some cheap shots by UNO 1 or 2 seconds left.
-
God, I want a 3rd goal...and quick!
-
Simonson "scores"! Holy crap! I won't even mention anything about a 2 goal lead...
-
Law of averages/that means UNO is well over due. Can UND win a game when scoring just 1 or 2 goals (can we even get anogther goal against a so-so defensive team?)?
-
Go to the effin net, Janatwinun, instead of dropping a lag pass behind you. My God. Yoy, yoy, yoy.
-
Real dumb, Wolanin. Mismash, shoot the effin puck instead of giving a pass to Poolman!
-
So, we have 3 goals this wknd in 4 periods against a poor defensive team based purely on the numbers. We seem to do that a lot, speaks volumes about our offense this season. Hopefully can change that in 2nd period! By the way, are either of the games next wknd at Miami on CBS Sports Network or any other tv channel/network that you know of?
-
Midcon never shows road game. Nor for that matter does our "home team", WDAZ channel 8.
-
I'm by far no great hockey mind and I know there's good 2-way forwards, muckers who serve a purpose, etc. but doesn't Hoff as a forward only have like maybe 3 goals/limited points all season? Our forwards offensive points production really lacks for the most part all-around.
-
Spot on. We're spoiled by history. Haks, never a bad team, always improving. Now, they are what they are--an average team.
-
"Besides the goaltender"? Something like an .800 save percentage ain't nothing to write home about. And I'm EO, I was wanting Cam to be benched but neither goalie is stepping up, avg/pedestrian numbers for both of them.
-
On the bright side...no way in hell we lose anybody early after this season, is there...
-
Didn't we go up 2-0 real early against Den at home Fri night. Didn't we go up somewhat early against Duluth either Fri or Sat? Didn't we go up 2-0 somewhat early against Omaha tonight. I'm sure I've probably missed one or two, maybe not.

Close, 5.

Does Strand really deserve to be around next season? Big scorer back in high school at FF I believe but other than once in blue moon hitting 2 or 3 treys in a game, there's not a lot there in terms of game, athleticism, etc.
