"don't seem to have any creativity in the offensive zone and no finishers" nails it. With the recruits we get (unless we sorely misevaluate potential talent to make it at/progress at the the college level?), coaching has to be lacking. Plain and simple, it's one or the other or a little of both.

Oh man, I hear you. Real late 80s to mid 90s nothing special/not good (?), just like late 60/early 70s to mid 70s (?), until Gasparini was put in charge to right the ship. Even though he nabbed a natty in 1st season with Hak's players, starting to look like Berry might be in same arena with Bjorkman although I have some optimism for next season (not this one) pending if the soph class can get it going.

Got no argument here, always made the playoffs. Teams choke/lose when it's one (loss) and done. Sure wish Berry could put together talented teams or I'd just settle for making the effing playoffs.

You hit it on the head, it just baffles me regarding our lack of finishing/talent up front. I know college is a step up for the players but some of these guys put up big points before coming here (albeit at a lower level) but I see no/very little progression while they're here. The sophs have some good names but we're now halfway thru their 2nd season now and there appears to be a few of them that are starting to look like the under-performing juniors and a few seniors in terms of offensive production. Not a good trend indeed.

Ya gotta get there to choke though. I could of coached the 2016 team to the natty (hell, Haks would of too). Current coach is 3 years in now (it's his team) and we can't even get a win vs Bem, W Mich 2x at home, Canissius,.....

I think he should and if he ain't passionate/angry then get somebody who is.

I realize radio voice Tim Hennesey is a UND paid employee (like Paul Rolston, correct?) but, as much as he expresses his opinions and frustration regarding reffing at times he feels goes against UND, it's truly a miracle he doesn't do the same (this season and last especially) when it comes to the play of this team at times.

And while W Mich is a ranked team, they were giving up just tons of goals prior to coming to GF. They soon rediscovered defense/good goal keeping..

Ahh, that's why the Goofers are where they're at now. Yup, recruits just love seeing 5,000 empty maroon seats but knowing there are a buku multitude of paying cable/webstream consumers. Yup, it's sure working out well.

You may have hit on something there. Either that or our scouting is really mis-reading recruits and their ability potential levels.

Fair enough, can't argue. Agree, I think you're spot on with the soph and frosh classes and jr class has been a slight miss (which I've said on this site previously).

Was at U Wis football game 2 seasons ago and student section (opposite side) were going back and forth with one side yelling "f___ you" and the other side "eat s___" (a take-off on the old Miller Lite slogan). Was at the opposite end of the stadium and heard it loud and clear. I never heard a warning from the PA announcer to stop the chant.

Or a decade ago (?) when it was in GF which may as well be in Canada...Any way that can happen again?
