As a freshman, Ryan took a hit into the boards and separated his shoulder. Never came back that game. Never came back that year. Tried to play his sophomore year but got hurt again. I think it was against the gophers and IIRC, it was Ballard who ended his career with a questionable boarding. But at the time he was leading our freshman class in scoring.

Ryan Connelly was our top scoring freshman before that fateful night in Mankato. In a class that included Bochenski.

It has been a while since WBL has been represented at UND.

I have to think #11 Vermont (versus #8 UMass-Lowell) and #14 Michigan (versus #1 Minnesota) are in trouble with the PWR in they don't win this weekend.

I was looking at conference races this AM. Top 1-5 in NCHC played in the WCHA last year. #1&2 in pig ten, Minnesota and Wisconsin. 3 of top 4 in current WCHA are from the 'old' WCHA. What a solid conference that was.
