  1. After a couple of wins during that conference title season, Tank did a cartwheel on the field. I can't tell you how much I'd love to see one more cartwheel this Saturday!
  2. I'd like to see the destinations kept warm, with as few repeats as possible. Las Vegas was fun, but I don't care if I ever go back to Vegas. Seattle was gross last time I was there - and that was in June. Maybe the rain in the winter would at least keep the pot smoke down? Really looking forward to Nashville. I like the idea of AZ. Dallas would even appeal more to me than a cold weather destination, tbh.
  3. time to go back to dominating the teams they should. UND 41, Idaho 17.
  4. I had a great time in Vegas, but am definitely more excited about Nashville. I have to agree with people above - that these games are going to sell well, wherever. Look at MSG, with the exorbitant costs associated with NYC, and it was a pretty darn good crowd. Nashville will be cheaper in pretty much every way, and with the growing reputation of these "once every couple years" games, the crowds will come. A quick check says you can fly out of Fargo with only 1 layover (MSP, Chicago, or Dallas), so I don't think it's prohibitive to get there.
  5. I was just thinking something similar, as I was wondering if the rodents are any good. They have a ton of talent, as always, but that hasn't consistently translated into success for them. What's this year look like? Has Mots started to get them to care about playing as a team?
  6. FYP. In-n-Out has the worst fries ever. Seriously, might-as-well-eat-the-cardboard, bad.
  7. Time to play a full game - both offensively and defensively. Get off the snide 5-3 with an ENG to put it away.
  8. This team wants to take a step forward this year and avoid the bubble. That begins this week, where they need to sweep. 3-2 Friday and 4-1 Saturday. At least 2 freshmen get their first points.
  9. Who pissed in your Cheerios? "These folks are excited for hockey to start, let's see if I can make myself look like a jerk - it'll be cool!"
  10. Yeah, it definitely had all the boxes checked. Watching his press conference, the White Sox had committed to not swinging at that pitch while he was the catcher. You likely don't do that in a close game if you think that he'll ever be on the field again.
  11. Gotta keep the frame so that the logo on the bottom can stay. Wife and I were talking about that last night. Just thinking back to all the great players who've skated under that scoreboard and looked up to see that. All the college players, all the stars who were there for World Juniors. The incredible number who went on to win Olympic medals. Pretty cool stuff to reflect upon, on a rainy September night.
  12. Played for the Fargo Force, too. Even Buccigross kicked in some BucciOT #CawlidgeHawkey money.
  13. I hope not. And I also hope he stays in MN. We all know his last contract was only good for an all-star catcher, and has been a target of MN "fans" since the very next injury, but he is still an effective player and he's the face of the organization. Local boy who has only played for the local team. Probably only one (or one of two or three) Twins players that other teams' fan bases can name. My hope is that they can come to agreement on a reasonable contract, maybe a 3 year deal, and let him finish out his career in MN.
  14. Mauer launches a grand slam (to center!) and the Twins finally beat the Yankees. During this season, small victories like breaking that losing streak to NY are/were all we got.
  15. Play action to Santiago, as the MLB will dive hard on the line given it looks like our standard first play, then a quick hit on a slant route into the open space off the motion (motion gets you inside the OLB). I'd like to see it to Izzy, but would be happy with one of our possession guys as well - turn that big body and be your own shield. May only go for 5 - 8 yards, but it would be a positive start! Ooops, I answered seriously. Sorry!
  16. Leaving work at 2:00 today to head to GF. Forecast for Thursday: A little tailgate, a lot of cheering, and a big smile after the win!
  17. Wild walk-off win last night! I'm going to see a couple games vs. KC this weekend, so I hope they've saved a little of that magic. Half expecting a couple of 8-7 games in that series...
  18. reminded this weekend, that at least the Twins aren't Baltimore! Always love getting a sweep, but Baltimore is just bad at baseball.
  19. Who else would I have been talking about? Don't you recognize him? He's the under-secretary to the equipment manager's assistant's travel agent for the Chicago Blackhawks!
  20. Fair enough. I only had the one picture on this computer, and it looked like Mattson's lettering could have been green in that one. The mystery continues...
