Up until this season, New Mexico was almost always one of the worst FBS teams in the country. Sure, they probably pay more, but I wouldn’t put it past Schmidt to get Chaves to pony up. Plus, Albuquerque isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, especially when your family is in the Midwest.

How much does Schleusner make? Maybe he wants to be closer to home? Schmidt has a ton of connections, so I’m excited to see who he brings in!

Saw on X that OL Jonah Reiling is in the portal. Appears to be 3 total OL in the portal now (Tyszka & Darling), with Seth Anderson being the only senior. Did someone mention that Carter Gorder is done with football? That would make 5 with 5 freshmen coming in the fall.
