Chicken or the egg.. winning brings in money which fixes a lot of these “criteria”. Also, the criteria for SDSU was their recruiting base, but left out MN which easily has the best (and way more of them) players out of the states listed.

I initially thought the Anderson injury was an ankle because he stayed out there for a bit trying to shake it off. But he needed help off the court after the game, and it didn’t look good. Would be a huge loss.

Looks like Ethan Headings, who originally committed to UND, then committed to Iowa before signing day, just recommitted to UND. I’m curious as to what happened here, but will definitely welcome him at UND!

People love to knock his defense - yes, it could improve a lot - but someone shooting 40%+ from deep is rare, and I doubt has ever been done at UND. And he’s got time to improve

Agree with Schmidt that player retention is number 1 most important, and I think they did a great job at that. I am in the boat that UND got much better this portal window! Lots of experience returning on the OL and TE room, plus Jerry. Obviously, Rucker was the biggest keep defensively. He and Vig will be fun to watch. Devereaux had a great season and Parks will be seasoned, need Boll and some others to step up behind those guys. Both DL transfers and RB Lawson have proven something in D1 football. I don’t think the Seidl loss will be all that painful with Langama, Brunnell and Lawson back there. Ekheart was a good DT last season and believe Henry will return as well. In the secondary, Kamara has FBS playing experience, while the other transfers will need to prove themselves. Definitely good to have the experience in Sutton and Erkman back there. Plus, year 2 of guys like Noland and Kludt. Wiltshire and Samuels-Parker getting another year would be the cherry on top. WRs will still be a question mark, but with Deng, Tai, and Hoskins returning, there’s a start. Schmidt also seems very high on Maxson, who was highly recruited. Need the 4 transfers to come in an push the returners. Not sure if they're done or not.. Huge!! Big kid that played 10 games at Akron this year with 17 solo tackles, 4.5 TFLs, 1 sack, & 1 INT. played with other commit Avery Dixon at Upper Iowa two seasons ago.

Wondering if the Albany kid will play a bit of both inside and outside due to his size? Behind Mohr, Paye will be a RS-Sophomore, so he could make a leap. They must also like the freshman Thornton as he played in 3 regular season games and both playoff games. Although a walk-on, I am not going to count out anyone with the genes that Kleinsasser has, although he's probably a couple years away.

I have a feeling there might be another scholarship or two open at WR. Also, including Lawson and 2026 freshman Zdon, RB will only be at 5 players vs. 7 this past season. Also, there is likely room for a QB as there were 5 on the roster last year and only sitting at 4 when including the 2026 freshman.
