  1. Exactly my point. The "move on" people can tolerate North Dakota. Those that think any random nickname is being shoved down our throats( which is many) will have a hard time accepting the new name.
  2. If I were Kelly, I would go out on a high note and pick "North Dakota". Those that think it's time to move on will be disappointed, but those who don't want a new nickname will be happy. There is less drama with picking "North Dakota". You force a new nickname on the majority who don't want a new name.......
  3. Are you kidding me? If this almighty committee knows what's best for UND, why even bother with the public vote? The public certainly can't know what's BEST for UND like the anointed ones?
  4. Great season and better young men! It pains me to think that thiis is the last Senior group to wear the Sioux logo. Best of luck in your future endeavors. You will always hold a special place in the hearts of the Sioux family!
  5. Do we know who the refs are yet?
  6. Is BU listed as the home team for the game Thursday?
  7. Does anyone know the name of the Boston bar that is owned by UND grads? They apparently have Sioux stuff in the bar.
  8. 4 of us leaving Wed. Afternoon staying at the Doubletree cambridge.
  9. Does anyone know how many tickets are alloted for each school in the FF?
  10. Does anyone know if there is a charter to Boston?
  11. It doesnt matter what the new nickname is, they are all going to stink because its not "fighting Sioux" . I know some are going to say "move on" and eventually I will get there, but realize for some offf us this is a grieving process for other reasons. Both my parents passed away and were die hard Sioux fans. My father was very involved in the community, was an adjunct professor and involved in many community endeavors. My parents bled green and loved their "fighting Sioux". For me, the loss of the name is like losing them again. I will support the University and the athletes, but it will take for me to buy into the logo change.
  12. I have to say, that comment got me chocked up a little. I can't believe this is the last group to wear that storied logo. Also, great initial post TNT! This team has the talent, character and passion to bring home #8 and have a community of Sioux fans around the country supporting you! Best of luck to all of you in the future. We wish nothing but the best for you. Thanks for your dedication and most Important...thanks for the memories. GO SIOUX!!!!
  13. They better have audio for our game tomorrow, or they will hear from a lot of rabid Sioux fans!
  14. Very classy group of guys! Thanks for the great memories and best wishes for the future. Once a Sioux-always a Sioux!
  15. My passion came from my now deceased mother who loved her Sioux and with the same passion, hated the gophers. When she was in her mid 80's, weighing 85 pounds and in a nursing home she was as sharp as a tack. She was receiving physical therapy and her therapists were all Gopher fans. She let them all now how unacceptable that was and had me get Sioux T-shirts for the therapy staff. The little old lady rides her electric wheelchair to therapy proudly wearing a Sioux sweatshirt and a Gopher hat. The staff is stunned to see the hat and asks her why she is wearing the gopher hat. She is grinning from ear to ear as she lifts the brim of the hat to display the words "Gophers suck, Go Sioux" priceless!
  16. There his no reason they can't win it all this year! Yale can attest to that. With the character, camaraderie and talent in that locker room, anything can happen. Our team believes they can win and we owe it to them as "Fighting Sioux" fans to jump on their bandwagon! go Sioux!
  17. Anyone have video of the celebration in the hotel after WISCO scored?
