Strangely, new reports are that St Kate’s is for expulsion. Since the St Thomas and St Kate’s are nearly sister schools, St Kate’s must be granting St Thomas its wish. St Maty’s In Winona is also a women’s school with a vote, but it doesn’t have a male or coed counterpart. Still maintain that St Thomas would have looked like Creighton or Loyola or even Marquette and DePaul athletically, if it had pursued DI years ago. They sizes and endowments are all very similar.

Vandy is nearly an hour away and MTSU is more, but traffic varies. Because the City of Clarksville in proposing the rink, Austin Peay is the only viable school. Don’t know what kind of mbb arena Austin Peay currently has. Might need to be upgraded anyway. Didn’t realize Clarksville is the 5th largest city in TN, with 200k in the county. Meybe Murphreesboro builds their own civic center.

Kind of miss Glas’s salesmanship to the fans. Wasn’t fond of his coaching, but he had excellent choices in his assistants. Jones was actually a better coach. Glas was more of an administrator/salesman that got fans involved, as his Concordia spiel showed. That type position isn’t in Jones’ DNA. Its rather hard to compete against the REA now, but a coach that sells the program to the media and the public and can actually coach would be great.

Austin Peay dropped down to non scholarship FCS before reinstating scholarship FCS last decade. APSU isn't exactly flush. Would have thought Vandy or MTSU would have been more apt to start hockey as those areas are more wealthy. But would like a team that's cheer is: "Let's go Peay".

Conversation iin Jones’ end of season review with Chaves. Chaves: The season results were unacceptable. How are you going to improve on it. Jones: I need more money for the program to buy a couple things and make it more attractive. Chaves: (Not wanting a throw a buyout at Jones). Well, you have until next season to win. With 12 schools remaining, the MIAC won’t crumble. In fact, Macalester will come back for football. No other MIAC school president will go on record, because they are doing a favor for UST, which needs to get its alumni behind a move up rather than staying DIII. This is the perfect scenario, but it takes some lies and a gullible public.

USI and Indianapolis go to the OVC, in a staggered fashion, once Murray St goes to the MVC. Western Illinois probably goes there too after a year or two, as the OVC willl need more FCS schools. Evansville’s big Ford Center was made the OVC tournament site and soon it could be in the center of the OVC, providing Jacksonville St leaves.
