  1. Would be nice if Sather got Bergan here from Aberdeen Central. http://www.hudl.com/profile/8846544/Andrew-Bergan
  2. WIU’s President has resigned after being forced out. https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/breaking/ct-met-western-illinois-university-president-resigns-20190614-story.html WIU has lost 38% of enrollment during his tenure, laid off staff, and a four 15 story dormitories have been mothballed. How long can WIU afford DI? They haven’t made improvements to their basketball arena, and they are an original Mid-Con team and the only one that hasn’t jumped ship. Illinois seems to want to destroy their regional U’s. The students are forced to Mizzou, Iowa, Iowa St as they charge lower tuition for a better education and more variety at jobs that pay.
  3. My bad. Enderlin has still been on the rise though, because of those twins.
  4. Sather has offered the twins, Gus and Joe Hurlburt, from Enderlin scholarships. Gus is 6’6” and Joe is 6’9”, but both can grow because they are sophomores. They come from a basketball family: https://www.inforum.com/sports/3921929-points-piling-enderlin-senior-graham-hurlburt
  5. Reminds me of eighth grade when the smart aleck kids that flunked a test would lecture everyone else about the “truth”. But another $1.6 billion oil pipeline is proposed to run from the Bakken to Oklahoma. Guess the Bakken will continue to grow. https://spectrumlocalnews.com/nc/charlotte/ap-top-news/2019/06/11/16b-pipeline-proposed-to-move-north-dakota-crude-oil
  6. Volleyball schedules are starting to come in. NDSU is coming to UND Oct 15th while UND is going to Fargo November 12th, both Tuesdays. NDSU also plays Cal, Buffalo and Green Bay in its home tournament the third weekend of the season. Would be interested if they play in Grand Forks too.
  7. Saul Phillips officially replaces Sather at Northern St. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/basketball/article2490293.ece
  8. Augustana wins another DII national championship, a couple weeks ago, in Softball. They have won baseball and men’s basketball recently too. https://www.argusleader.com/story/sports/college/augustana-university/2019/05/28/augustana-university-softball-team-vikings-division-2-national-championship-ncaa/1262053001/
  9. Hope you realize the including the full volume of ethane in OneOk’s pipeline would increase the volume by up to 10 times. As one goes higher in the NGL carbon chain, the order the constituents decreases by almost 10 times. That’s why methane is so overwhelming even to ethane in the original gas stream. OneOK removes the mainly the propane, butane and pentane because they are so much more valuable than ethane. Ideally, ethane needs a user in the Bakken because the transport cost is daunting. Even the pipeline developer that built the ethane line from Tioga to Alberta sold it soon after it started. For being an oil person, next to no knowledge of nat gas liquids. You went on and on that I was wrong for saying a plastics plant could be placed in the Bakken, and then a major Alberta developer agrees with me. If OneOk had a true nat gas separation finishing system in ND, there wouldn’t be any ethane in that pipeline.
  10. Killdeer doesn’t have a rail line as their line from Zap was abandoned. The Dickinson area is a major rail port for the SE Bakken and for people that don’t want to live in Killdeer, and Starke and Billings County have low intensity Bakken Wells. The approximate center of high Bakken activity is like Keene, Johnson’s Corner or even Mandaree, so their isn’t railroads or even a county seat near it.
  11. The Bakken is just in the early innings. 3 million barrels / day is predicted over time and that just as much as all of Canada. The average drilling time has gone down dramtically from like three months to like under 20 days, so the rig numbers don’t need to be so many and much less help is needed that in 2010.
  12. Midland and Odessa each had about 1000 people before the Permian Basin oil was discovered. The shale drilling gave it new life as reserves are now almost t h e largest in the world.
  13. Trying to state that those towns employ workers for the Bakken as they already have NG plants. Your the one that won't accept facts. The Bakken is an effective four county area now.
  14. That's esessentially what Drs demand now in Hospitals. Trying to explain it to an M.D. always end up with one being ridiculed as MDs believe they have the only answer, but just gets one sicker with drugs as nutrition is overlooked.
  15. McKenzie County is huge and the largest oil producer in that US and the oil prolific zone extends beyond Killdeer in Dunn County. Too bad if you have a problem with facts. Nat gas plants have been built near there.
  16. Most surgeries and pharmaceuticals have high rates of bad results regardless where one gets them. Go to a naturopathic place where there find what causes the ailment by its energy using muscle response testing and remove the offending stressor it naturally (chelation, homeopathic, herbs, etc) and then let the body heal itself. People needing kidney and heart transplants have gotten cured by removing the offending stressor in the body naturally. There used to be a practice of this kind in Warren, MN, but this method is growing. Its amazing how many parasites are within people’s bodies and medical science just laughs at that thought. Seen people that didn’t have an answer from Vanderbilt or Duke and got an immediate treatment that got them well at the naturopath. Don’t depend on people that have best quesses. Your own body is the best MD and will give answers according to the circumstances, not MD’s egos.
  17. In another thread, figures showed that Williston micro area has grown by over 50% in eight years. That’s rather substantial growth for an old agricultural state, many times larger than Fargo’s or Sioux Fall’s impressive growth rates. Never remember stating Williston would be that large in 10-15 years, but did say Midland-Odessa-could be a good match for Williston’s eventual size and that Midland-O area is about that size right now. But the chemical industry does not choose to build much at Midland-Odessa as its too dry and little water. Houston has been the main city that has grown because of the Permian Basis via chemicals and plastics. Williston’s area growth will be much larger if chemical and plastics plants come in, as happened at Edmonton, which is also Alberta’s capitol. Midland-Odessa used to be the equivalent of Tioga-Stanley before oil was discovered, and now it has more than 300k. Probably should state that Williston in fact means Williston-Watford City-Killdeer-Stanley-Tioga. If oil drilling is further improved or oil prices go higher, it could include a larger area like Crosby and Burke County and more southern Bakken areas.
  18. Keeping the salaries low for Jones’ crew encouraged him to leave, which is what Chaves likely wanted to begin with. Chaves was always prepared for higher salaries with the right coach.
  19. Other Summit members were swearing that UND didn’t have the money for Summit basketball. Chaves encourages Jones to get out by some way and then increased the pay scale.
  20. Just strange how Jones wanted more money for assistants, and lo and behold, those assistants get more money when Jones finally leaves.
  21. Could Saul Phillips be named the new coach at Northern St? https://mobile.twitter.com/GregStemen/status/1137008754690547714
  22. nd1sufan with an entirely inaccurate portrayal of Williston’s growth. I was talking decades and those trolls only consider years. Edmonton had under Williston’s 2010 population in 1910. Now it is 920;000 just in the city. Trolls not understanding compound growth over generations again. if it gets a chemical industry, which is more and likely, Williston will get a big lift in growth. Housing prices are at sticker shock level for a ND town and the economic driver for the city is already overwhelming.
  23. Bakken Midstream right now is hot on a trail. Nobody named PTTGC, a Thai based oil and chemical company, to build an ethane cracker in Ohio, but that plant is currently permitted and construction is due to start. https://www.wesa.fm/post/second-ethane-cracker-closer-reality-ohio https://www.naturalgasintel.com/articles/117989-pieces-falling-into-place-for-green-light-on-ohio-ethane-cracker
  24. Midstream companies usually don’t own any oil, gas or ethane etc as part of their business. Midstream charge fees on handling or transporting the materials. If nothing is being used, they don’t make a penny. Prices are paid to the oil company for ethane, even if its passed through a midstream NG plant. Hess Midstream is the only company in the Bakken that produces ethane and propane pure streams. Hess Midstream is different than Hess, which is an oil multinational. Hess Midstream’s assets are primarily the gas plant in Tioga and its NG collecting pipelines.
  25. As long as a conference has six schools in almost any sport it qualifies for that autobid in most sports. But qualifying for an Dance bid requires more hurdles, like meeting all the NCAA rules. But the Big Dance bid feeds the conference money, as the NCAA gives Dance shares and recognizes the conference as a full time one with additional money. If one doesn’t qualify for a Dance bid, it would be like the Great West only with bids for minor sports. Most conference schools would need to drop sports for $ saving or get in another.
