Then UND would be stuck in a Northern Sun WIH league. Something to consider.

A team we beat, Cal St-Bakersfield, has made the NIT Final Four at MSG. The other teams are Ga Tech, UCF, and TCU.

So Kolpack says the MVC will add Valpo, Belmont or UT Arlington to replace the Shockers. He seems to be confusing MVC desire with mutual want. Belmont and UTA want nothing to do with the MVC. Being in the Belt, UTA can add FBS any time it can come up with the money.

Notre Dame retained it's own Tier 1 rights when its hockey goes to the B1G and sells them to NBC Sports Network. The same would probably hold for UND bUT with FS1 or Fox Sports North.. The B1G games Tier 1 rights for UND could be sold to Fox Sports North of FS1. which could transfer select games to FS Michigan, FS OHIO etc. UND could still retain Midco for Tier 2 and other sports.

Fox Sports North would probably be interested in a contract, and that exposure would be huge for UND. If that doesn't happen, it's till a big deal academically but no money.

Lakeville North and South have had some pretty good hockey. Lakeville South was put in the same section as Rochester schools in the past.

Other schools have already announced that their share will go to paying for nutrition for athletes. Thats a major cost for our hockey programs, because they both have personal chefs making meals.

ESPN2 wanted a game packed with fans for its 2pm slot, as ESPNU gets much lower ratings. Most of this evening ESPN2 had women's dance coverage, so UND-BU game was chosen by it to be the early game because they knew it would actual fans and excitement.

UND will be getting over $689 k extra from the NCAA in April from a distribution of a supplemental endowment that has been accrued. Over $200 million is being dispersed, based on how many scholarships are funded. Since UND has more scholarships than any school in the Big Sky or Slummit, our allocation is bigger. Restating opinions, not facts. Are you going to guarantee that NDSU has not placed feelers to the MVC and is not currently lobbying for admission? This is my opinion only, but think Murray State will get a big push. They have bona fide fans that will make the trip to Arch Madness much like they go to Nashville now for the OVC tournament. Filling the seats for Arch Madness is a big deal, as Wichita mostly did that, not the other nine teams. The MVC needs a new fan base that is proven to travel. Milwaukee, UIC, NDSU, UMKC, ORU, and Valpo dont have that. USD and SDSU haven't proven that if a game is more than a state away. In addition, Murray St has FCS which would make scheduling in the MVFC easier. The Racers have a deep history of NBA players and dance runs. Other than St Louis U itself, which wont leave the A10 for the MVC, the Racers are a thoroughbred program that no other MVC wannabes can matxg. Murray St had support last time, but the privates wanted to keep their voting coalition in place with Creighton gone, so they demanded Loyola. The MVC could then split off their FCS teams into a separate league with six full MVC fb members, leaving bizon fans wailing. Staying at 11 MVFC teams doesn't make sense except at NDSU.

There was always the presumption that the Slummit and MVFC had to be tied together to save UND football from independence or the Southland. Gene Taylor refused to schedule UND when he was in Fargo and there's every reason to believe NDSU put up roadblocks to UND's admission to the MVFC. Only when UND was safely out of the picture, did the MVFC take down the roadblocks for USD. Since Genoa Taylor refused to schedule in Grand Forks even after that, I can confidently say NDSU was against MVFC membership for UND then. A former governor knew there was more to the story and suddenly Bresciani yielded to pressure from the SBHOE and wrote a letter in support of UND to the MVFC that was carbon copied to all SBHOE directors, otherwise Bresciani would have had his leadership head chopped off. Sins of the past will haunt NDSU.

He was asked a question if SDSU and NDSU were moving on to the MVC. He only answered that SDSU wouldn't but left open the possibility that NDSU could by not answering. Try better next time.

All the more reason that this board needs some levity.

The SBOHE hasn't stopped NDSU from any conference in the past and hasn't pressured any conference to offer both schools to our knowledge. But now the expectation is that each school would support the other, and not put up artificial roadblocks as I think NDSU and Geno Taylor have done in the past with the MVFC.

Since the NCAA forced a regional tournament out of N Carolina because that state forbids males in women's rest rooms and locker rooms, UND should get a line or two of men that play club hockey and for game day they say they feel like women. Can save on scholarships, be better skaters and puckhandlers, travel and eat first class and the NCAA wouldn't have a leg to stand on considering they have already taken a stand on men feeling like women. After all, a man just won the women's weightlifting world championship. Why can't a women's team with men win NCAA WIH? A lot of men would want to dress in the REA's locker rooms and practice there.

So will you give a guarantee that NDSU would not move to the MVC?
