Exactly. True of any organizational activity, whether it's sports or a business.

Yeah, I knew there had to be others, just couldn't remember their big moments as readily.

Lots of Eaglestaff talk (for very good reason), but how about the supporting cast? King and Kraft had improbable roles in pushing the game to final minute.
-
One of the coolest things about last night for me is that against a top-10 opponent, we looked we belonged on the same court.
-
Hope this gets the GF and UND community back into BB. What a great night to showcase ND talent.

Hopefully he’s a Summit League champion before he can’t be.

Maybe I'm out of touch, but the Ralph was brand new in 2001 and hosting a game Kansas was going to (and did) well there in part because of the venue. I am not sure we sell a capacity Ralph crowd for a BB game now, even if it is Alabama. It will be fun to see a packed Betty. Need some juice back in the sports that use the Betty.

Yes, but I am guessing that is it. Otherwise, they would have been announced at the same time. At least only 1 is defense. -

Would have been a good model for both Dakotas and Montana (and probably Idaho). -
Are we rooting for MSU so there’s the highest chance of a non -SU champion? Or UI because Luke?
-
Better than a USD rise. I don’t think they’ll have the staying power that UND eventually will.
-
Hadn't he entered the portal or something originally?

This is certainly a feel-good move. I also want it to be the right move. -

I think that's kind of the $150,000 question right now. I feel like he deserves something for being named interim and getting through signing day. But, I also don't want Schmidt to feel like he has to keep him on if he'd rather have someone else. -

I think I (along with many others) was probably a little too focused on the records of potential coaches, and less on what their outside experience could bring to the table. If you recall, I was pretty big on Bolte, Caruso, and Woodley, all phenomenal coaches at a lower level. But seeing Schmidt these last few days is like opening your eyes to the 2020s of college football, and I don't think any of those aforementioned names could have done that in the way Schmidt has. Big upgrade for UND to have that FBS knowledge of what high-end kids are going to be focused on. Big time excited for the future. -
Haha! “Welcome to the Schmidt Show”

If our coordinator salaries are in the $150k neighborhood, it would be possible. Looks like is NIU salary in 2023 was $120k.
