  1. You guys seem to like Thompson up top with Schmaltz, similar to my initial guess. I thought Thompson looked so good at the end of the season, his first pass out of the zone is ridiculous (similar to Schmaltz's). In regards to my initial D profected lineup, the reason I was putting Ausmus over Stetcher was simply his size and the fact he is more defensive. He would be useful on the PK. Early in the season Stetcher showed some offensive flashes however we already have some highly offensive defensemen (Schmaltz, Mattson, Ladue....even Poolman who is more like Ladue in that they are both above average 2-way defensemen). On a side note, I also really like the size and mobility of that defensive core....could be scary if they click early. As for SiouxScore's linup...I like that top 6. If Poganksi figures out the speed early that could work. Olson may be a nice fit there too. There were times last year when I thought Chyzk could be that underclassman who could be good his junior and senior years. We'll have to see. Also, Simonson may be able to flow up and down the lineup. He does have offensive skill; his shot is very good.
  2. Parks-markmac-caggs Johnson-schmaltz-chyzk Odonnell-pattyn-gaarder (could be an interesting senior line vs younger teams, I'm optimistically thinking this line could put up more pts than were all thinking) Poganski - Simonson - Olson (st Clair or Murphy could work their way on to this line, or the third if odonnell underperforms). Schmaltz - Thompson Mattson - ladue Poolman - ausmus (I honesty think it's between ausmus and stetcher depending on the type of team we play. Poolman is a clone of ladue, he can't be sat at least not right away based on what I've seen of him. The college game may throw him for a loop, who knows).
  3. What a said was they are a good hockey school...not simply a look back of the past 5 years. I was saying in general, since I have started watching college hockey (since '93). CC has always had some good teams. They are Niagra, anchorage or MTU.
  4. CC is a good hockey school. Miami has a decent amount of nhl players good right now, that played there in the past 7 years. You are missing the point here...Jackson was a stud.....in the best junior A league in NA.....at 16. I'll i was saying was scsu got a nice prospect. His resume is good, get what I'm saying?
  5. Haha.....-1000% this happens.
  6. Rookie of the year in the best American junior A league in North America as a 16 year old. Close to 30 goals, id give him a peek. FYI....CC and Miami are good hockey schools.
  7. Monster pick up....I was hoping somehow Hak would get this kid. At least he chose the NCHC....good for the conference.
  8. Agreed. Greene does serve a purpose however LA is so loaded at that position and they have more guys coming up potentially. Even Reaghr who isn't playing is solid. Also, Doughty is getting a letter next year for sure.
  9. Yup, and a guy like Greene may sign for next to nothing....same with Mitchell and king for that matter. Gabby is gone in my opinion, some team will give him too much money after this years playoff performance.
  10. Because there are 5 better all around defenseman on their team (from the coaches standpoint). Greene does a great job on the kill though.
  11. Wow.....now it's coming together.
  12. Wow. Settle down. I would be absolutely blown away if people didn't know where Dubai was located. THANKS FOR THE INFO!
  13. ....they're pretty deep and well constructed.
  14. What....are you kidding me? The officiating has been fine. Your post sounds like one fat excuse to me. LA has been playing terrible and they're still up 2-0. If the hawks couldn't hold leads that rangers definitely won't be able to.
  15. Wow the rangers are pulling all the tricks now....talk about embellishment
  16. Given the injuries that plagued that team and the way Babcock got them to play without some of their best players.....not a chance. Best coach in the league in my opinion.
  17. Nice, I could have done without that one today
  18. Well this is hockey....not the NBA. Anything less than 6 is a blow out.
  19. "I am disappointed that the rules committee didn’t recommend video review for major penalties or recommend allowing players to wear the three-quarter face shield." I'm right there with ya Goon.
  20. There were definitely streaks of time where he was a solid player last year but there were also streaks where he had some pretty poor numbers. The jump from the USHL to the nchc will be tough. But sitting on a third line may benefit him. I just hope he doesn't get scratched all season long when he could be developing his top six potential in tri city. I am not opposed to bringing him in and I have no idea who else they would bring in.
  21. That would be a shocker. He was one I though needed another year of juniors. Nice size though.
  22. Agreed. I was pretty crushed when the Hawks were bounced, however, I'm over it now and am jumping on the King's bandwagon. Greener needs another Cup. I heard he is looking at getting into coaching when he retires from the League. I wonder if he will be our future coach one day? As for the game last night, what a colossal f up by Girardi on that last goal. I haven't seen a solid NHL defensemen panic like that in awhile. He's typically a sound defender. Cost his team last night. You don't let Mr. Clutch get a clean look in OT.
