I agree. Ladue is obviously a bit rusty/hurt still, he'll be fine by next weekend. I actually thought Murphy made a few nice plays, now only if he could pick up his compete level. The top line looked extremely dominant. Wondering what they'll do when schmaltz comes back. I would go back to him playing with cags and keeping mark and parks together. I'm still not sure who sits but I hope poolman is back next weekend. I did not see any defenseman who played bad however. I'm guessing mattson could be a regular now. Hak was trying to jolt him. Mattson didn't play great but he wasn't a liability out there. Maybe Thompson sits who knows at this point. Additionally, I hope Poganski is back.

Yeah, there are certain people on this board that like to call out every single mistake Thompson makes however he played ok last night. I did happen to notice his reaction time was slow on the PP but that's probably because he hasn't played that much.

Agreed, actually the first ten minutes or so we're just putrid, cost us the game. I thought our D looked poor at times. Poolman a huge mistake on that shorty. That pinch was "men's league-ish". He'll fix that though. Additionally, our PP is getting pretty bad. Hopefully tonight isn't the night where the refs decide to give Miami the PPs because it seemed like we had them last night, haven't checked the box score though.

Defensive meltdown early

I think I said I would be happy with a split. My first drink went down pretty smooth....feeling lucky. Plus I'll be at the games.

If we stay out of the box I think we sqeak one out tonight. Williams falls apart tonight. 5-4 good guys. Olson scores first goal tonight. Saturday - Miami laid it all out there Friday, come up with a dud on Saturday. 3-2 good guys.

Agree with the split, however I don't understand the Miami isn't good defensively mindset. Judging by their game log they look like they are defensively sound. They had a bad one against SLU however we had a bad one against BSU. I don't beleive their D is as good as ours obviously but I believe their backend will be decent as well. Last year was last year.

Have they played more NCHC games? Try looking at overall's next time, or maybe averages? Let's compare apples to apples here.

That is hilarious! I was wondering what the outcome of that game was. I had some buddies who played in that conference and was trying to find out what the outcome was.

yup, one thing I just noticed is that Miami, by no means, has had a tough schedule yet either. UMD is pretty tough but defintely beatable. Miami has lost against the U-18 team, Bowling Green, St. Lawrence, and UMD. Collectively, some of those are not good losses. We should get a W one of the nights.

We will be extremely fortunate if we sweep Miami. I'm actually hoping for the split. Miami will get a few early PP's in one of the games and sneak out a W.

I actually think Providence will turn it around and have a decent season. Too many older players. However I agree with you, split all the way. I would actually be happy with that. Miami can pour it on if they get some confidence.

Yeah he did play really well.... and their was some luck sprinkled in there as well. I, for one, didn't think we looked all that great last night. We were just a lot better than that team. I'm calling for a drubbing tonight.
