Tippet is in the NHL, I doubt he'd come back to coach college hockey at this point in his career. Maybe when he's older if there is a position worth taking.

Arguably the 2 of the top 5 coaches in the college game. Quinn is younger but he's done a lot since he's been there and his recruit pipeline is strong. Should be a battle out there on Thursday.

I also agree. I think this may be one of the most critical advantages we have. I think Hak puts some of our older players on that line to attempt to contain them. Maybe the Parks-Caggs-Johnson line as we seem to be getting scoring from our depth lines.

I get most of that but Hak hasn't slipped up the least bit. Every year he's rolling out a great team while also keeping the pipeline strong. You have to recognize that as well.

In all seriousness, at this point in their careers a school would take Hak over Blais 10 out of 10 times, it shouldn't even be questioned. Both are great coaches however. Blaiser will retire relatively soon. Haks recruiting has been top notch lately.

The US team was one of the youngest teams in the tourney, if not the youngest. Had Eichel been playing with an older, more mature team or had he been playing with NHL players (like McDavid) I'm guessing he would have been more productive. Eichel is a one man wrecking crew. Hopefully Hak assigns the Parks line to shut him down... and hopefully those boys have the game of their careers.

I get what you're trying to convey...however nothing you say will change the thinking on this forum. The slightest bit of criticism towards Hak will get you blasted on this site. You will instantly get thrown into the "Hak hater" bucket. I wouldn't even go there, you're just wasting your time.

Agreed, he may need to be a top 6 guy next year. I'm also wondering if Murph could take a step forward and play a top 6 role next year.

You are mostly correct however the money in the AHL isn't terrible and it's above $50k. Everyone I know in the AHL made more than $50k per year. Also, when you take into account that these boys dont have to pay for anything during the season it's probably a bigger benefit. After the A you an head over to europe play for a few for years then come back and be a producer or get in sales. Also, I think Ladue may have a shot at playing NHL hockey. He'll need a year or two in the A first. Stetch may too, not sure about Caggulia. Parks may make it as a 3rd/4th liner (similar to Vande). You just never know.

I agree with Zane and Jordan however Nick leaving would absolutely blow me away. He's a few years away. I would put Ladue at under 50% and both Stetcher and Drake will be back. As far a NS goes, to leave college hockey early (as a offensive player) you need to be dominating the league. He has some flashy plays every so often but is no where near ready to make the jump. I honestly think another year would help Jordan a lot as far as his consistency but he's a 1st rounder so I'm guessing he feels (and all his advisors feel) that he should go.

Makes sense. I also agree the AHL is a great league. One thing though, to play in the AHL and succeed (as far as being an NHL prospect) you typically need to be a very very good college player. I think one more year would really help Ladue. He started out with a bang but really leveled off. Good player but one more year against college competition could really help his confidence going forward.

That would be so lame. The best they can come up with is to copy the nickname of the local high school? That would be terrible. Good nickname? Sure, but not only has it been used but by a local school.

But we were talking about the comparison between stetcher and krug. Everything else you noted makes sense and is known.
