Jackson Blake having a heck of a 5 Nations tourney so far. He’s tiny but very skilled. I doubt he’ll ever be a bigger guy, however it appears he still has a ton of growing to do. He looks 12 years old and the rest of the guys look 16-18.

That happens at 8 too I’m afraid.

Is section 8 single A tougher than Eastern ND conference? Maybe by a sliver. But there are more teams and the experience and exposure is way better. Also, they are probably playing a Moorhead and few TC teams sprinkled in there. Plus EGF has a solid coach who runs PEP skill work. How many different Fargo teams do you want to play? Again, decision seems easy to me. As I’ve been saying lately, keep ND HS hockey obviously but create a Tier 1 option as well (similar to Sioux Falls power)

In the grand scheme of things, he's still pretty young. I'd be nervous to send a 16 year old away...let alone a 14 year old. This makes sense in my brain.
-
Agreed, but they should make it and will run into those other teams. Single A MN is a click above ND east, especially considering two cities make up the entire division.
-
Jeez, I’m in the TC. High quality hockey everywhere. Weather...not so much
-
Agreed. I’m sure this was the best option for them.

I hate to say this (being from ND), but I would do the same thing with my kid.

Guch is going to have a big year I think. Get him the right linemates and they'll all go off. -

Senden will be there in due time. Nice group though. -
Agreed...but he is going to Des Moines and he is going to Wisco. He went to London's summer camp and I'm guessing that rubbed Berry the wrong way.

Cameron Rowe to the Badgers

Good for him, he really needed to get out of St. Louis.

The only reason I'd break that line up is to give Hain a look in a top 6-9 role. I think he could be a heck of a college hockey player, I'd give him a chance to produce offensively. If he's not keeping up, you know you could move him back down and that line is tough to play against. -

Still very curious why Frisch came in. Definitely appears another year may have helped his game, but it is what it is. Not sure he beats out peski on that last pairing. Could be a lot of bench time for him. i don’t think we’ll have any high point producers but we should go back to a normal season. Hopefully we have 2-3 over a pt/gm guys and several more knocking on the door. -
Saw he wasn't there...must be hurt or a conflict.

Well...boeser has the better numbers if you ask me (looking past the goal stat only), played on a worse team, was a rookie, and did solid on the Hlinka (which Wilkie never made). But yes, Wilkie had a nice overage year. I don’t knock Wilkie, he had 19 pts in 20 games last year. We could have used him big time. -

Yeah they were, as far as what he was touted as being. -

Oh sure, the team will be fine. Was just a messy morning, as far as UND hockey news goes. -

What a mess. -
J Kunz with 1 assist in 5 games at the US Select 17 camp. Not the strongest statistical showing obviously. Would be shocked if he made the Hlinka. D Montgomery wasn’t there this year, odd as he made the 5 Nations last year. Wonder if he’s injured.

Lack of production for the type of prospect he is (was), given the league he was playing in. Agreed with a lot of the other things you said though. The thing with massimo is he was an extremely talented youth hockey player. He has found juniors (a high scoring junior league) to be much tougher for him. Obviously not a deal breaker whatsoever but it appears he may be coming a bit closer to his ceiling (depending on the type of injury he has been dealing with, etc). Which 100% does not mean he won’t be a nice college player or will never play in the nhl. It simply means he has to find that next gear or may have to slow his development route (which he has).

Has Brad posted a consolidated listing of which current players/commits are attending NHL development camps? I know other team are starting to post theirs.
