Noticed Caulfield really tapered off towards the end of the year. His team is scoring in bunches during the U18s and he doesn’t even have a shot a bet. Wonder if a kid like that would be better off playing for a Ushl or bchl team and play in all situations

I honestly think he was leaving anyway. As far as who's coming in next, must be someone young. No way Herter comes here, he's the associate HC at UMD isnt he? Why would he come here to be third fiddle. His next move is to a HC position. I think a guy like Mannino would be interesting, good recruiter from what I can hear.

I know. I tracked him during the year. He was one of the older guys on the team. The team was good and he was supposed to be the guy. Obviously he was a top 3-4 guy on their team, but he was supposed to be the guy. Just pointing out facts, he regressed in year two.

Kunz has 2 pts in his first two ushl games. At this point it would seem like a long shot for Costello to be at UND. He was one of those situations that may have rushed his development. Shocked at Stratton's numbers. I believe his coach noted last year that he could be in the 80 pt range. Far off.

I would kick that back to "guys after round 4 or 5" in todays game. Scouts are getting better and better. If you go in the third, you're solid. But, your point is fair.

Agreed with his post.....but we have missed on guys who have chosen to go elsewhere. It is what it is.

I'm speaking in the terms of talent. Keane played a lot of games last year. We could use Rizzo's talent. I'm all for letting a kid develop longer, but we could use some talent now. And it's not like he absolutely struggled in juniors. Definitely didnt light it up but was not remotely close to a slouch either. Could fill a nice depth role for us...or more who knows. Not a biggie, just a bit shocking to me given our current roster. Again, I don't mind kind developing longer and constantly preach that.

As far as Adams goes, he's an undersized underclassman. His first year in the USHL he played with an NHL player and his second year he dropped off a bit. Yes, he is skilled. But he was never going to come in a light it up early. His damage should be in his upperclassmen years. During his underclassmen years, he playing against older comp. as compared to who he played against in juniors. Also, who are these middle of the road players you are speaking of?

Well that has me perplexed. If a guy like Keane was here last year than rizzo should play next year. I mean, it’s not like he has Bast type injuries. He played 40 plus games this past season.

Isaac Howard (SSM) may be someone Bubs is looking at. Another '04 Blades player.
