Yeah, that one is odd. 18 in 40 as a junior on a very good team.....not great. Significant drop off from last year.
-
Agreed completely. However I was one (prior to the decommit) who was definitely interested in what the plan was for him in 19-20 as he’s never done well in the big tourneys with team USA nor had he performed well in junior games. The USHL is downright nasty however it isn’t as tough as college hockey. So the fact he’s currently at 16 straight games without a point is telling. Playing in the ushl next season should be the path for him. He hasn’t rushed development whatsoever, he shouldn’t start now.
-
Agreed. Some laugh but there are other teams with 04 commits. That’s about as young as you should go however.
-
It's wrong….it was the other Lizotte.
-
Absolutely. They all are already on the NTDP radar.

Is AR even going back next year? 6’3” athlete that puts up huge numbers in college. He’s gotta be gone. I’m comparing him to what he could have given us this year or next, not comparing him to a pipeline.
-
I don't feel the need to name names...but quite a few of them. Pretty high end kid if you ask me. His numbers are eye popping in a low scoring "clutch and grab" league. Over the last three years he's also +52 (and I'm guessing he plays a lot). Maybe I should ask you....who doesn't he play over? In all seriousness I fully understand why he's not here and why we wouldn't have recruited him.

I'm fairly certain that internal folks knew that would be the expectation. Did well at single A but never quite caught up. Struggled in juniors from an offensive standpoint. I'm not sure how he did on the PK last year (numbers wise) but from the eye test he does well in that role. I'm hoping he can put up anywhere from 13-18 pts next year.

That is a whole separate debate you probably have to assess what type of players they were. We’re they full scholly type players? I doubt it. They were brought in as role players. Also, benson and lizotte are role players as well. Good ones, but they’re role players who are currently going to the Coast. Not a knock on them at all. Just stating facts.

Agreed. But these particular kids that recently committed are very "high end" for their age. Benson, Lizotte, etc were very good kids locally. But they definitely were not at the level these 3 were at the same age. Apples and oranges. These three kids were either committing here....or some other big school
-
Every local player that has committed recently is a top tier talent around the entire continent. Could they hit a ceiling prior college? Sure. But every college team would be looking at them.
-
Ausmus and Spicer also played for the 04 Blades which pretty much demolished every high end team in North America

this happened 2 years ago

Panzer committed.

He should be nice. Ranked 86 among NA skaters. Another decent get.
-
Potentially, easily in the top 6. CC plays more wagon wheel hockey.....but you're right. He very well could be. I think you're going to see some of our players take a jump into next year.

Didn't Brad S. already say it is Frisch?
-
Ya, definitely an older guy who would help. That's for sure.
-
Just an example, but flip’m. WMU or UND....come on now
-
Cheering for SCSU. Keep it in the NCHC
-
Sorry bud. Read your last post wrong. Calm down

Frisch and Bast are the same age.
-
He'll probably come in, but TBH, another year of USHL hockey is exactly what he needs. Clearly the league was very tough for him this year. If we need a dman bad (which we don't obviously), I'd flip an over ager like Attard to come in. Back to Frisch. I just think it would benefit him to log a ton of minutes (in all situations) and come in more polished and extend his development cycle by a year.

It's a panic move by a kid who's always played with ridiculously high end centers. He has a great shot so he scored a lot when being spoon fed.
