  1. in large proportion, no
  2. I'm not trying to make people sound dumb or uninformed, but kinda as teasing me (them knowing I'm pretty vocal about support about Roughriders) I get a lot of my friends who are still in school who send me a picture of that blackhawk logo captioned "pretty good reason to vote for fighting hawks" and it's not facetious. I have quite a few Facebook friends who changed it to their profile picture as well.
  3. This thread will only steer people towards Fighting Hawks.
  4. I would urge other Roughrider supporters to refrain from calling people of different opinion dumb or low information. I've never known to win hearts and minds that way. Respectful persuasion or clearing up certain misinformation is the way to go, but there's no sense using the somewhat domineering tone that some Rr vocal proponents have used to this point. I will still vote for Roughriders despite the current situation. I still believe it is by far to most powerful name offered as a symbol for our university, and 100 % yes it is TR influenced. I would hope we could adopt it for the qualities I've said, ad nausem, in previous posts and letters. I would love for my university to embody the strenuous life mentality combined with enthusiastic academic curiosity. It would mean more to me than it rightfully should. So I'll make another appeal to vote roughriders. It very well may be my last (you're welcome to a lot of you) realizing that these are more annoyance at this juncture than persuasive, if they ever were. I realize the odds look pretty awful for my wish, but a wise man once mentioned something about it being better to fail than not try at all, so I will keep trying for it in my way. That quote ended with something along the lines of failure being better than cold, timid place of knowing neither victory nor defeat. Gosh, seemed like a smart guy who said that, if I could remember
  5. It's pretty close...maybe we should do it one more time with all three
  6. I don't think you should speaking for dentists. They are people too and well capable of expressing their own opinions, you anti-denture. Has the nickname thing talk you nothing? http://youtu.be/ythrdCsOFJU
  7. well this could be better...
  8. Would there be higher height requirements than all the D2 playoff games? A punt is a punt? If they can't host playoff games there, there probably wasn't a point in changing the nickname.

  10. ... and then he starts talking about with these results we can forward as a university, but wait! The lights die, the crowd falls silent. Undertakers music starts playing... he was a fan of the name that was eliminated, and he doesn't like what's happened. He calls Kelley a liar and a manipulator. Kelley goes to argue, but Undertaker knocks the mic out of his hand. They stare at each other trying to intimidate each other. Undertaker is so focused he doesn't notice that ..."What is this? It's Brian Faison, and he's got a chair!!!" boom. Drops undertaker from behind wit the chair. Kelley and Faison high five. Faison grabs one of the nets and sets it like 6 feet away from the fallen undertaker. Kelley climbs on the net; the crowd boo's, but he just encourages it to keep raining down. He leaps for the flying elbow, but at the last second Undertaker rolls out of the way. He gets up and pins the now hurt Kelley. Bells go off. Faison is shocked and attends to Kelley. Undertaker grabs the mic and challenges Kelley to a rematch next week at the Miami Ohio game. If he wins the eliminated choice is back in the running, if Kelley wins he can take undertakers belt. Drops the mic and walks out. Third period begins and we vote every other week for the same three choices until the end of time.
  11. Say Anything Blog is saying that Ed Schafer is likely to be the interim president. I think that's pretty awesome, if true.
  12. The catwalk may not be the prettiest thing in the world, but it appears we have some catwalk fans. Here's my controversial hot take going into the weekend, the Alerus catwalk is everything I wish the bars at the Ralph would be. Uglier? For sure. But it keeps you as engaged, if not more with the game, with all same same essentials, friends in groups and alcohol. It also has two cool things that the Ralph bar doesn't, visibility to the playing surface (granted if you have seats in the bar this could be different, but personally, I am stuck behind that metal railing with the rest of us commoners) and a conveniently placed dip and dots vendor. Go UND Catwalkers
  13. It allows you to meet a lot of people and still hang out with your tailgating crew
  14. wooof.. I didn't see that. Thanks for the share.
  15. I think it'd be surprising how much a crap ton of paint and a couple of posters would do to that building. BTW, I'm a huge catwalk guy. It's hyper fun and unique.
  16. awesome work. I was going to look into a "who don't I like this week" list for myself since we're left standing watching.
  17. yeah, we're all either on something or on to something
  18. haha... I am more of a Common or Bumper to Bumper guy actually. I'm not duckies and bunnies enough for the covenant.
  19. I let a few beer fueled he's loose calls last Saturday. Thanks to 22 for the multiple opportunities
  20. 3 in a Row !!! Run San-ti-ago!!
  21. MidcoSN is available if you have NDTC though (I'm pretty sure, my parents have it and they get games)? Can't they just starting selling the broadcast to everyone not named Cableone and make everyone happy. The increased exposure thing is huge... I just don't know a ton of casual fans who will go too far out of their way to buy/set up a webcast. You don't pick up casual fans that way.
  22. I'm already putting in for the tradename Sodak Sports Team Real Estate Business
  23. then it was defensemen or someone. good recall though!
