2024-25 University of North Dakota Hockey Season
Benny Baker replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
In 2021, UND was lucky to make it 5 OTs considering Duluth’s first game winning goal was waived off. In 2022, UND was lucky to make it to OT considering Notre Dame’s last second game winning goal was (again) waived off. Every team has luck in the playoffs. Some teams can’t capitalize on it, however. Some teams don’t. -
2011-2012 was Hakstol’s greatest coaching performance. Talk about doing so much with so little. Also the season JT Miller bailed right before the start of the season.

2024-25 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

Unlike the 06-07 team, somehow I don’t see the 24-25 team getting to April with only 3 more losses. Maybe only 3 more losses by February, but not April. -

Or, if you can’t figure out who all of the cupcakes are, you are one of the cupcakes … -
Well if they can’t beat Bemidji, maybe the divided locker room can just play against each other from here on out so at least half the team can be winners.
-
I’m old enough to remember when Robert Morris couldn’t even field a hockey team in 2021-2022 and 2022-2023.
-
No crap. Michigan can give $10,500,000.00 to ONE athlete while UND is looking to muster a $50,000.00 match for its ENTIRE collective. We can’t beat Michigan when Michigan wasn’t paying their hockey players, at least according to you. (Hell, UND barely beat RMU—a team that didn’t exist in 2022 and 2023—tonight at home). The writing is on the wall.
-
For sure; I agree. Considering, after all, Michigan was the team to knock UND out of the college hockey playoffs last season.
-
Damn. Michigan’s collective just offered Bryce Underwood $10.5M to outbid LSU’s $1.5M offer. Here, we’re talking a match “up to” $50k for the ENTIRE collective… Yikes.
-
Wait for Schlossman’s late March article, which will read something like …. ”#17 North Dakota would have been ranked #12 and playing in Fargo this weekend had it won a November 22nd game against RMU in regulation instead of overtime.”

So UND picked up .67 of a pairwise win against an Atlantic Hockey team? At home? This will still hurt their pairwise. Embarrassing performance.

The top team in the land visits the Ralph. Denver @ UND

Could have been 4-1 ratio. Pohlkamp took a visit to UND, but said no thanks, and transferred to Denver without any need for a recruiting visit. -
After winning his last natty, Gwoz went 1-6 in the NCAAs over his final 8 seasons. (Kind of sounds familiar). Gwoz was let go in April 2013. By April 2017, Denver was national champions again and have won a few titles more since.

UND @ Cornell - Saturday night's MASH episode
Benny Baker replied to Kevin G's topic in Men's Hockey
IMPROVEMENT! Come on, people! The last time we took a one goal lead into the final period, Michigan scored 3 unanswered in the first 12 minutes. Tonight, it took Cornell an entire 19 minutes AND an empty net to pot their 3 unanswered goal. We’re definitely on the right track! -
Looks like tonight’s game finally up on espn+ Go Sioux

I finished the prune juice, but I see you still can’t offer anything of substance. But, after all, we all know you don’t have the goods. Have a good one though.
-
Who called for Berry’s head on Siouxsports.com tonight? I honestly haven’t seen a thing. Complaints about the jersey they wore, sure, but that’s about it. . . .

https://gopherpucklive.com/forum/college-hockey/ Start a thread and/or DM someone who cares. You can’t offer anything but innuendo. Move along.

Locker room is solid. Move along.

Considering March 2013 and October 2019 were the only 2 series in Mankato since 2010, I am not sure this stat conveys much.

2024-25 University of North Dakota Hockey Season
Benny Baker replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
Berry is not keeping his job because he’s won 4 of the past 5 Penrose Cups. Berry is keeping his job because Chaves is a spineless AD. Mallory Bernhard still has a job for cripe’s sake. Ive said it before, Berry can win another Penrose this year, but if he isn’t playing in the regional final in Fargo this season, it’s time to move on. -
Blake was sent down to AHL. Jost is on Carolina opening night roster.

Augustana @ UND (Exhibition) October 5
Benny Baker replied to fightingsioux4life's topic in Men's Hockey
Hopefully Semptimphelter didn’t sustain the same lower-body injury that Davis did against Augie last year that kept him out the next 2 months. I didn’t even see Hedquist in the lineup, right; is he out too then? Not sure how comfortable I’d be with Johnson until December given the upcoming schedule. -
