Ever been pestered by the Herald at Hugos to sign up for their newspaper? UND should be selling tickets there in the same way with general admission tickets (that they should have). The ticket office is not creative, and they do not go TO the potential client. UND needs to ask potential clients to take action, rather than hope they show up. It's not the solution, but it would help bring in some additional fans, for little to no extra cost. Another option: Look what UND Hockey does with the Subway Holiday Classic - combine the hockey incentive with a football incentive. In regards to NDSU, the best thing that could happen for us, is for them to lose. Many casual fans drive past UND on their way to the games in Fargo.

FYI, I just ran a dot counting software program to count the remaining seats available on ticketmaster. Came back at 3,761 available seats. This doesn't count the student section. Not sure how accurate it is though

I don't really think people are bashing UND hockey fans in this thread? They just want more to come to the games...

I'm not the one telling a season ticket holder to buy other people tickets... Don't look at me. I was just pointing him in the right direction if he wants to be angry at somebody for not having a sellout. I understand that it takes time to build a fan base. And I'm not telling other people what to do. I fully understand that it is not realistic to have a sellout at this point in Bubbas tenure. And I accept that, although it is disappointing.

Doubt that. There are no doubt hockey fans that like NDSU football, but I would bet that most don't follow FCS football in general.

I just don't care anymore. Shanks just air balled a free throw... Would love to be able to drive down to the UNI or Iowa game this year, but there is just no hope for this team non conference.

Preaching to the quire doesn't necessarily help either. I'm sure he has encouraged plenty of people to attend games in his time as a season ticket holder. Go talk to the hockey fans about it.

I drove up from the cities 3 times this year with my gf. She likes the football games more than the hockey games, and I think I do too now. We also went to our first away game this year at UNC. Saw UNDColorado's setup out there, but didn't have a chance to really say hi (gf is kinda shy). We did get free beer at the UNC Alumni tent though haha. Also, sat directly next to Faison and Kelley in the top row of the bleachers at UNC. Neither even looked over once to say hi. It was almost as if they purposely avoided eye contact.

I don't blame them for not going to the union to get free tickets. It can be a pain in the ass to walk over there in the cold (I was lazy). Would be nice if they could set up in gamble as well. The ticket office is out of sight out of mind if it is still down in the basement of the union.

To be honest, I had a few classes with him - incredibly nice guy, and funny, but I don't think he would have jived well with Bubba. From talking with him, it sounded like a players coach would be a better fit for him, if you know what I mean. Glad that he made it to Memphis, I know he wanted to go to a big time college environment, and they have been pretty good. Too bad he can't finish the year out.

Wow tickets are flying. If there is a significant % of season ticket holders that buy playoff tickets, I think we could see 10k - scratch my origianal 7-8K estimate. There is already a big difference between this morning at about 10 AM and about 6 PM this evening. After all, Grand Forks does like a winner... Just wish I could make it up there!
