  1. Great atmosphere tonight. The team's on a roll and is really fun to watch. Mussman could learn a thing or two from Hardee. There's no question how much he cares about his team and about winning. There were a few times tonight where it looked like he was gonna blow a gasket and that was while his team was doing to NDSU essentially what MSU did to our football team on Saturday. We're lucky to have a coach like Hardee on campus and everyone should make an effort to go out and support the volleyball team at some point this season. They have a chance to do something special.
  2. I'm currently saving to buy an old delivery truck that I can turn into a tailgating rig. Saw one in Green Bay a few weeks ago with a grill mounted on the back and a roll out canopy mounted on the back for rainy days like last Saturday. Inside will be a kegerator, a couch, a TV, and whatever else I can squeeze in. Probably won't be a reality next year but I'm hoping it's at least partially ready for 2015.
  3. I'll be there! Can't wait! A beatdown of the Bison would help take heal the sting of the football team's performance from the weekend.
  4. I did a little research and I really think making a push for Tibesar is the right move. I looked up his coaching history and it sold me. He's a former captain, was here for the national championship, ran a successful defense in an offense heavy league at KSU, ran a successful defense in the CFL, and is now getting experience at the NFL level. I wish he would've had more than one year at Purdue to see what he could do there but I think he'd be a fantastic hire.
  5. Why make him take a hometown discount? Offer him something just shy of Bohl's salary with incentives for attendance and season tickets. If he's someone who could get us to the point where we're filling the Alerus it would absolutely be worth the investment. A guy with UND ties, BCS coordinating experience, and NFL defensive coaching experience. That's someone who could get the fan base excited. Anybody know what Bohl made when he first came to NDSU? I imagine Nebraska's DC at that time made a pretty healthy salary.
  6. Norberg: Decisions decisions.... Carr: So sick of this #Done Dustin Iverson replied to Norberg's with: Hope they're good ones, need you bad. Dan Bell: You either have it in you or you don't, I'm tired of hearing excuses JJ McElroy: People are mad at our fans for leaving, I don't blame them for leaving at all. Those were the ones that caught my eye from the guys I follow.
  7. In case watching that game wasn't bad enough, go look at the twitter feeds of some of our freshmen. Not good stuff.
  8. Was anyone at the booster luncheon yesterday? What was his demeanor like? I assume it was a bunch of coach speak but I'd be interested to see what people thought of his confidence and body language.
  9. Quite simply, somehow, the defense has gotten worse than last year. There just isn't any fire from anyone on field. The whole team is just going through the motions and they're not talented enough to hang with a good team when they're not motivated. The team's given up.
  10. I'd be happy if Muss is gone before the team leaves for Idaho but part of me wants him to stick around for us to lose to EWU by 70 so there can be no debate as to whether he should be fired. Judging by what everyone's said about the players actions on the sidelines I'm glad my seats are on the opposite side.
  11. Really hurts. Before this season I wasn't ready to say Muss's job depended on making the playoffs but he needed to show we could hang with the big 4 teams on our schedule. If last week's game, a furious comeback that still came up short after digging a hole, was the best Muss can muster out of these guys he needs to go. Muss, get a win THIS SEASON that shows you can compete with the top of the Big Sky or dust off your résumé.
  12. We get a break with a backup QB coming in for MSU in 2 weeks but what's gonna happen when EWU comes to town? If the defense that was out there tonight shows up for homecoming we could be in for even more hurt. Those guys are gonna hang 70 on us.
  13. I (mercifully) wasn't able to watch the 2nd half. Have we still not forced a turnover on defense? If so, that's difficult to comprehend.
  14. There were 4 or 5 throws from Joe that were way off the mark but he's a freshman who was just asked to throw it 50 times in a game. I'm not blaming Joe. He was not put in a position to succeed tonight. No running game and a quickly collapsing pocket. The quarterback was not the issue tonight.
  15. I've been in the camp of patience when it comes to Muss but this is not acceptable. I don't think firing a college coach mid-season accomplishes anything but he needs to be on notice right now. He needs to beat MSU in order for me to stay on his side.
  16. So what happens when FCS stops picking up our games because they're all against Bemidji, the Alaskas, and Michigan Tech? If you truly believe that about those running UND then you are incredibly out of touch with how passionate those people are about UND athletics and UND in general.
  17. This was the new coach's first win. Not a bad way to start!
  18. I, for one, am ecstatic we have the type of media coverage that we have. I'm probably one of the few UND fans that is football first then everything else. I won't be able to attend the game this weekend but I'm going to be able to stream the game on my phone. That's pretty damn awesome! We're only in the 2nd year of the Midco deal and they've already stepped up and given us HD a year earlier than they had to. I'm confident that by the end of this 5 year deal there will be plenty more to be excited about.
  19. 4 tickets in the 3rd row of 215 (just to the right of the student section). $50 for all 4 or I'll break them into 2 pairs. Can arrange pickup in Grand Forks any time before the game starts. I hate to miss this game but I'll be venturing to the not-yet-Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field to watch my other beloved football team.
  20. 38-34 UND
  21. They don't do pat downs. No excuses. Play like a champion.
  22. Student attendance has improved a lot in the last 2 years. Several games sold out last year and they're 2-2 so far this year. Still need to get them to stay for the whole game but if we win an exciting game with a full student section that'll go a long way.
  23. Definitely the first blatant freshman mistake out of either of those guys. Following that up with the fumble after a good defensive start to the half was really a disaster for him after a fairly good start. Hopefully he can shake it off and play better if he's called upon this weekend.
  24. Losing the 2-time defending Big Sky Offensive Player of the Year, their all-time leader in touchdown passes and wins as a starting quarterback, is most definitely a game changer. This suddenly became a very winnable game.
