Mike McFeeley Tweet: "UND press release says volleyball coach Ashlee Hardee placed on administrative leave pending outcome of internal investigation."

The problem is he's lost 4 games every year he's been at Nebraska. He's a defensive coach who wasn't able to get over the hump with great defensive players and once he got some great offensive players he had let the defense slip away from a championship level. He hasn't shown anything to prove he's an elite coach and his outbursts and antics would make the decision warranted. Personally I think he should get one more year because I think next year will be his best combination of talent and experience but I think his clock may have just run out.

UND @ #14 Oregon (Oregon Tournament Day #2)
WeAreNorthDakota replied to SWSiouxMN's topic in Men's Basketball
Should be the same stream that was available for the Cal Poly game which means no audio or score graphic. I'll be opting for the smooth stylings of Paul Raulston. -
And an update on the Nebraska situation. Their AD released a statement stating Pelini will lead the program in the future. Not the strongest vote of confidence but it likely means they won't make a change before their bowl game if they do decide to move on from Pelini. Probably eliminates any assistants from their staff as Faison will hopefully have a coach hired well before the conclusion of bowl season.

Thought I'd pass along a link that's particularly useful to this thread. http://www.footballscoop.com/the-scoop They do a great job of covering the football coaching carousel at all levels. Excellent Twitter follow as well.

Dave Christensen who was just let go as Wyoming's HC was offensive coordinator and offensive line coach under Gary Pinkel at both Toledo and Missouri. Has degrees from Western Washington and Eastern Washington. His teams always put up points but have never seemed to get where they need to be defensively. He'd likely be a finalist if he were to apply but I don't think he'd be my choice.

Florida OC Brent Pease was let go this morning. A Montana graduate and former NFL QB. He was Montana's OC in their hay day in the 90's and has been an OC/QB coach at NAU, Kentucky, Baylor, Boise, and Florida. His resume looks to fit Faison's job description to a tee.

It's not just here. Bison fans have an unusually high presence on message boards all over the internet. They're like a plague.

UND vs Cal Poly (Oregon Tourney Day 1, 11/29)
WeAreNorthDakota replied to SWSiouxMN's topic in Men's Basketball
Terrible shooting night. Couldn't make a free throw. Didn't get stops consistently enough to make a run. Huff, Nash, and Anderson were all quiet. Nothing went our way and Poly took advantage. Concerning because we have to play Oregon on their home court tomorrow but I think it was just a bad night for our key guys and Cal Poly played a clean, quality game. We'll bounce back but I doubt it'll be tomorrow. -

If we play like this tomorrow Oregon's gonna beat us by 50. -

Probably because these are HD cameras. I don't believe any of the broadcasting equipment they use in the Betty have HD capabilities. -

It's basically a Pac-12 Network skeleton broadcast. All the cameramen from the Oregon game just stayed where they were and they make the feed available for free. Really disappointed that there isn't at least a basic score and clock graphic. -

16 points isn't insurmountable but it's gonna be tough. I really like the full court pressure we applied to close the half. Anybody know what the foul situation is? I'm assuming Nash had at least two and that's why he sat for the last few minutes of the half. We need he and Huff to contribute offensively and to keep up the defensive pressure if we want to have a chance to come back. -

Poly has made a couple tough shots but overall our defense has been alright and we're not turning the ball over offensively. We just need to get shots to drop and not brick every free throw try. Looks like we dug ourselves too big of a hole to dig out of but we're certainly not overmatched. -

This has been a disaster so far. Nothing is falling, from the field or the line, and we've forced a couple bad shots. -

Audio quality is pretty good but there's no audio or scoreboard. Gonna try to stream the radio broadcast to see how well it matches up. -
He's gone. Barney Cotton should get a call from Faison within 24 hours of Pelini getting let go.
-
He's also done the only real reporting on a potential candidate for our open head coach position.
-
Quite often on his Twitter account actually. I find him a very good follow for his comments on college sports in the region.

How is posting an accurate listing of those who have applied for a job bush-league? We are currently posting in a 34 page thread about who will fill said job. There was nothing anti-UND in what McFeeley wrote.

Upcoming opponent Butler just tipped against #5 Oklahoma State on ESPN. UPDATE: Butler fell to OK St 69-67. Gonna be a tough game on Butler's home floor.

UND vs Cal Poly (Oregon Tourney Day 1, 11/29)

I think it's more likely Webb and Hooker see increased minutes. Neither have been playing a ton so I think they could absorb most of Schuler's roll without too much problem. -
It probably would affect football coverage the most as those games would have the best chance at being at the same time.

Everyone I know in Fargo hates Cable One as well. Midco's not perfect but they're a hell of a lot better than Cable One.

Recruiting isn't like free agency in the NFL. You take the best players you can get no matter the position. This is especially true at the FCS level. I would like to see immediate contributors at cornerback like we found in Kuksa and Cheatom last year.
