  1. Perhaps all Schuler needed to do was to reinjure his shoulder to start shooting well again Nice to see him light it up
  2. SUU takes down Montana tonight by 20.
  3. Standings *UND 13-4 MON 11-5 SUU 11-5 EWU 10-6 ============= SAC 8-8 MSU 8-8 ISU 8-8 ---------------- UNC 8-9 NAU 6-10 PSU 4-12 &WEB 2-14 Wed 2/26 MONT @ SUU Thurs 2/27 UND @ PSU UNC @ EWU ISU @ NAU WEB @ SAC Sat 3/1 UND @ EWU UNC @ PSU ISU @ SAC WEB @ NAU MSU @ SUU Mon 3/3 MON @ MSU Lots of exciting games left where 8 teams still have a shot at the remaining 6 spots. A good week by any of the 5-8 teams could lock up the 5 seed or push for the 4, but a bad week could be the end of the playoff hopes. NAU is pretty much in a win out situation to get in, and PSU is all but out. Eastern is red hot and can have a great chance at the 2 seed. UND scenario to win the regular season title goes like this 1) UND beats PSU and EWU AND 2) SUU and Montana lose once We are guaranteed one of those because they play each other. We will have to be ironically MSU fans for them to knock off the winner of the MON/SUU game. Its a tricky road trip for UND but at the same time it is very winnable. First thing is first, take care of Portland.
  4. They have looked very good tonight, congrats on being the first team to punch their ticket into the big sky tourney
  5. It would not shock me if Weber wins tonight
  6. I thought they were when they were approved, but then a short time after lost it.
  7. Last road trip of the season, lets start it out right.
  8. UND split with Montana UND beat SUU Mont beat SUU
  9. Standings UND 11-4 MON 10-4 SUU 10-4 SAC 8-6 EWU 8-6 MSU 7-7 ISU 7-7 UNC 7-8 NAU 5-9 PSU 4-10 WEB 1-13 This is virtually a 3 team race unless SAC or EWU gets hot right at the end of the season and UND/SUU/ and MONT swoon. Here is the breakdown of the 3 contenders remaining schedule UND 2/20: NAU 2/22 SAC 2/27 @ PSU 3/1 @ EWU 3/7 @ SUU MONT 2/20 @ WEB 2/22 @ ISU 2/26 @ SUU 3/3 @ MSU 3/6 SAC 3/8 NAU SUU 2/20 @ EWU 2/22 @ PSU 2/26 MONT 3/1 MSU 3/6 UND 3/8 UNC UND needs to take care of business at home this weekend. While the losses in Montana hurt, they still have a very important half game lead over both Montana and SUU. The toughest game left for UND is SUU on the road. UND still can determine its fate. Win the next 5, you stand a very good chance of winning the regular season. You have a habit of winning games in 5s, lets have one more of those habits.
  10. Picks: Sweden Finland Canada USA I just want to see Russia cry some more
  11. First part: Im about 6 foot and have stood on the end and my head comes up to the middle of the glass, well out of the eyesight of the suites. It isn't any different from when we stand after ever goal, fight, last minute, etc. Second part: valid point, but if the REA put their minds to it they can make it work.
  12. Been saying this for 5 years. Would rather chirp at a goalie for 40 minutes than a player in the box for 2 (and have less of a chance of another BU incident from happening)
  13. The failure of the new ticket policy, opponents that are uninteresting, too much of a social scene, I could go on and on here. The student section has been slowing getting quieter and quieter as the years go on. It was rocking my freshman and sophomore years. Upper doesn't even fill up anymore and last Saturday over half of upper was sitting (when we were winning 3-1!) Of course it doesn't help when the team is hovering around .500 either
  14. Last night, we knew which team wanted it more. Every 50/50 ball went to MSU, when we would rebound MSU would always get a hand in the ball to knock it out. Pathetic performance at home. That zone was BEGGING to get lit up! I'd make the team run a no basketball practice and run 17/60s until I got my point across after that effort
  15. Maybe Brekke was the leader this whole time
  16. We also have to remember that Montana also held the men's tourney last year too. They also had ESPNU cover the games last year for both the men and the women. I looked 2 years ago when ISU hosted and they had later games for semis and finals.
  17. for the scoreboards watchers, UND should cheer for: UNC to beat MONT ISU to beat SUU SAC to beat EWU
  18. It will be a fun little problem to have, but we need to have that problem first. And that starts tonight against MSU. Need to keep the lady cats on their annual swoon.
  19. So if we have a home playoff series at the REA, and we do indeed host the Big Sky tourney. How will this all work out? Not venue wise (it will be at the Betty), but logistics
  20. Just to reiterate the importance of this weekend 2 wins: UND will have a key sweep of Montana and will at least 3.5 ahead with 5 (6 for them) to play. They would also prevent being swept from MSU (which could hurt in tiebreaks) SUU will be still at least 2.5 games back depending on what they do. Would pretty much put the conference race on lockdown (barring a major UND collapse) MSU Loss/Mont Win: being swept by MSU will hurt for tiebreaking purposes, beating the Griz will help in the bigger picture (sweeping them, winning that tiebreaker). They would be at least 2.5 games ahead of them in the standings, and 1.5 ahead of SUU. MSU win/Mont Loss: prevent the sweep by MSU, but couldn't get the all important sweep of the Griz. Would still be at least 1.5 ahead of Griz and SUU. 2 Losses: Conference race gets a whole lot more interesting
  21. My take on all of this: what is king now, might not be 3,5, even 10 years from now.
