  1. Excellent. That will be nice to have her back next year, she will help out in the production that we lose with Buck and Wall next year. Teeder, are the situations with Dillon and Houdek correct as well?
  2. MSU is in a tailspin since their 4-0 start to the season. We need to make sure it stays that way. Its crunch time for the boys, defend the home court against the Montanas. The road to the 2 seed starts now
  3. Im thinking 10 will be the cut off for the tourney, and I think 13 is the magic number for the 2 seed. Like I posted in the other thread. UND needs to defend home court and get 2 out of 3 in the Sac, NAU, and SUU road games.
  4. I thought I heard that Houdek was done for the year and they were trying to get a medical redshirt for her next year (at least that is what I heard from the women's play by play guy during one of the games). Might be harder to her to get one since she already redshirted Lauck hasn't played since UW-Milwaukee and I don't know the status of her (if she is done). She never did redshirt so that option is there for her to come back next year (I would think it would be a slam dunk for her to come back) Dillon I believe also did something to her foot which is why she isn't playing, but I have no idea when she is coming back (I think on chat they said they would likely get her back at the end of the year). If she does that would be nice to give us another 3 point threat off the bench. If not, I wonder if they can redshirt her too. transfer? never really noticed.
  5. And it needs to start this weekend against the Montana schools. 8 games left in the season, 5 at home, NAU, SAC and SUU on the road. Defend the home court and get 2 out of 3 on the road and that should be enough to get the 2nd seed. There is something about March that Jones teams just seem to do well in. (well for the exception of 09-10, which was a flaming disaster)
  6. All I know is that if I got something like that from my coaches, I would have typed it, printed it and stuck in my locker to look at every day. If my parents saw that message, they would have told me to get my butt to the gym. Its sad that my generation is becoming more and more of the trophy generation, which is a damn shame. “The existence of parent complaints must not be the sole reason for a board to not renew a coaching contract.’’ This is the law that they passed in Minnesota last year to try to protect coaches, I wonder if this might be the direction a lot of states go in the future if of course this is success. Of course they could try to find a way around it if they wanted to.
  7. Was it the level that we have (4,5)?
  8. Yup, http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2556180/Georgia-declares-state-emergency-45-counties-cancels-two-days-school-Atlanta-risking-weeks-winter-storm.html Now watch as this storm misses and the city and state government blames the NWS for being wrong.
  9. What about Disterhaupt? I thought he was moved to receiver (or at least he was in fall camp, where he had some pretty decent hands).
  10. UND gets help as Eastern take down Montana, now 2.5 up on Montana and 3 on SUU (they play NAU on Monday). The next 4 games in the conference will determine a lot for the teams vying for conference tourney spots, a lot could be solved after the 22nd. If UND can somehow, someway pull a sweep of the Montana schools, it can be a pretty safe bet the tourney will coming to the Betty. Standings UND 11-2 MON 8-4 SUU 7-4 SAC 7-5 EWU 7-5 ISU 7-5 MSU 6-6 UNC 6-7 PSU 4-8 NAU 3-8 WEB 0-12 Games for 2/10-2/17 2/10 NAU @ SUU 2/13 UND @ MSU UNC @ MON SUU @ ISU EWU @ SAC PSU @ NAU 2/15 UND @ MON UNC @ MSU SUU @ WEB EWU @ NAU PSU @ SAC 2/17 ISU @ WEB
  11. The only 6 point Walters is going to see is in his dreams 4-2 Sioux
  12. Actually glad to be done with Weber, they are growing up fast. They will get their first big sky win eventually and when they do they might run off 2,3,4 in a row. Need a better performance against ISU if they are going to get out 11-2, they are playing very well as of late. Would be Huge to get a sweep of ISU.
  13. The Standings UND 9-2 MONT 7-3 SAC ST 6-4 SUU 6-4 MSU 6-4 ISU 6-4 EWU 5-5 UNC 5-6 NAU 3-7 PSU 3-7 WEB 0-10 Games this week Thurs 2/6 Weber @ UND Montana @ PSU MSU @ EWU Sac State @ SUU ISU @ UNC Off: NAU Sat 2/8 ISU @ UND Weber @ UNC Montana @ EWU MSU @ PSU Sac State @ NAU Off: SUU Mon 2/10 NAU @ SUU Its looking more and more likely that the winner of the UND/Montana game will decided who will host the conference tournament. I think everyone else will take turns beating themselves up. MSU is in free fall mode right now and ISU and UNC are getting their acts together.
  14. The games just keep getting bigger and bigger. The Montana's clash tonight at Missoula, the winner will move into 2nd place in the conference and be sitting 1.5 games out of 1st. Take care of business at home this week and our Big Sky regular season hopes will rest on a road trip through the Montana Schools in two weeks
  15. UND kept its good play going and picked up a crucial road win, which became even bigger when PSU went bonkers against UNC. UND now goes on to the 2nd game of the 4 game road swing as they travel to said Portland State Vikings. PSU had done quite well themselves, winning 3 in a row and 5 out of the last 6. They are finishing up a 4 game homestead themselves, and look to complete a 4-0 sweep and get to 3rd in conference. They have some good guards, but they have some questions inside. UND has a huge opportunity to pull of a road sweep and get to 7-3, before heading to Weber and ISU. We match up a little better to PSU than we do to EWU. It might also throw us truly back in the thick of the Big Sky title chase too. Other Games: UNC (7-2) @ EWU (3-6) Big game for both, UNC needs to prove that it can win the road (6-0 at home vs 1-2 on the road) and not only lose any more ground to Weber, but not let UND sneak up behind them and take 2nd. EWU needs this to stay within striking distance of a playoff spot, and to show the conference that this young team is ready to take the next step Weber (8-1) @ Sac State (3-6) Rumors of Weber's demise has been greatly exaggerated, as they keep rolling along as usual. They could really put the conference race away next week when UNC and UND come to town, but first thing is first they have to contend with Sac State, who got a big time win against Idaho State to keep pace for the final spot in the playoffs. Can Sac state pull the major upset, it would really help their playoff chances if they can. ISU (4-5) @ NAU (5-4) Remember when NAU was 5-1 and was at the top of the conference? Well after playing Weber, UNC, and UND, NAU has fallen back to reality. Another must win game for both here, NAU can't be too comfortable with both Montana right behind them, so they need some separation. ISU is the first team out, and a road win can go a long way at the end of the year between getting in and getting knocked out. SUU (0-9) @ MSU (4-4) Is this the collapse of MSU? They started out strong but have lost 4 straight. You would think that getting SUU would be the perfect antidote, not so fast. SUU is getting closer to that 1st Big Sky win, and they are starting to grow up. Bobcats need to start stopping the bleeding, as the schedule is not getting easier for them. This could be the big upset of the night Off: Montana (4-5)
  16. Have been very impressed by how this team has seemed to turn things around. I agree that Traylor has gotten better and is now giving us a legit post player to work with. Jamal Webb might be playing the best point of his career right now (and is starting to hit that outside shot too). Hooker just gets better and better as a guard (saw him make some passes last night I don't think he would have tried a few weeks ago). Anderson is coming back into his junior year form, Huff is playing controlled for the most part, Nash has adjusted well to playing off the bench and is provided big time minutes and points, Stefan is getting to be more and more of a do everything type guy (his pass last night to Nash was a thing of beauty) Now we just got to get Schuler red hot (he hasn't looked the greatest on the offensive end these last two games). Jones said that these next two week would be moving time in the conference, UND is given a golden opportunity to get back in the Big Sky conference race and gain some separation from the rest of the pack hopefully. PSU will be a tough one, but I think we match up pretty well and can pull one out.
  17. Impressive win over the preseason #1 team now take care of PSU Saturday
  18. Stefan and Hooker are getting more and more comfortable in this offense.
  19. And then getting Shanks for the 2nd half of next year for nearly all of conference play will help too.
  20. I would think with his inside-outside game, Cashman can play a little bit at the 4. I was concerned at the end of last year in what we would bring in, but as of right now I feel a lot better. Not saying we are perfect, but we are a lot better right now then we were 6 months ago.
  21. And of course they can always go after any one who transfers from other programs at the end of the year if they so choose (they have to sit a year, but it would help the balance of the classes that way too)
  22. sooo..... Erza? anyone confirm here is actually coming here?
  23. Guess I didn't remember him from last year, so I instantly thought freshman the team last year was able to sweep Eastern and Portland on the road, my thought are they should be able to do it again. Do agree that their bigs will be problematic. Traylor, Nash and Salmonson will need to play very well on both ends
  24. UND brings its new attitude and 3 game winning streak in the Sky on the road this week as they pull the Pacific Northwest swing of the of the trip. First stop is the young and plucky Eastern Washington Eagles. If UND wants to get back into the race these next two weeks will go a huge way to determining their fate, Eastern is a team that wants to play very fast, and like most young teams, play well at home (3-0), then on the road (0-5). Jois is a very dangerous individual in the post and Harvey is a guard that can go off for 40 at any time (and he is a freshman!). They live and die by the 3, as they lead the conference in 3 point shot makes and attemps. They however are not very deep at the moment and they do tend to turn the ball over as well. UND needs to keep up what they have been doing, look to take good shots and make the extra pass. Be sure to put a lot of pressure on the ball and force some turnovers. If UND bring their SAC/NAU game plans up to EWU, they will come away with a road win. My hope is that they can go into Weber next Thursday with a 7-3 record in conference.
  25. We have 3 walk ons and I'm including them in our #s. We lose 7 players on scholy
