  1. its refreshing to watch a post back down someone and hit a turnaround jumpshot. btw: saw Brekke today at the Wellness playing ball, good to see that he is doing very well.
  2. Weber is about to go down to PSU at home.
  3. despite all of that... we are down 7 at the half I don't know what to think
  4. forcing up shots again. come on guys, get the offense in rhythm here
  5. Hey! We have the Lynx! I agree, its dark times for a Minnesota sports fan.. well with 1 exception for me since I cheer for the Jets instead of the Wild.
  6. Ill take a wild guess: Webb vs hooker?
  7. So best case: St. Clair: Omaha? Stecher: DU? Olson: DU/WMU/SCSU? (I have no clue because its mono, you never really know)
  8. Sounds like we got another dropdown from Wyoming according to miller. Oscar Nevermann, he is a darn Swede!
  9. UND hits the road to take on the new(old) kids on the block for the only time this season. UND needs to steal a few on the road to get back into the conference playoff picture, this game presents an opportunity to do so. Idaho has been up and down this year, playing like a top 3 team and then playing like a bottom team. Uptempo style, crashes the boards very well, and can shoot. UND needs to bring their effort from the home stand, make some adjustments, rebound well, shoot well, play smart discipline basketball to get this one. Other Games: Sac @ ISU PSU @ WEB SUU @ MSU NAU @ MONT UNC @ EWU
  10. team crashes, ie only gets 1 more conference win, I can see a move made, but its looking more like Jones is coaching for his next contract extension at UND for the next 1.5 years If Jones gets another .500 or less performance out of the team next year... then a move will be made. With 4 potential starters coming back next year, Seales, Geno, Collins, McDermount, Brickstein, the trip to Italy with extra practices and scrimmages, NDSU, SDSU, (hopefully UNI), at home. If they don't challenge for the conference title next year (and I expect them to), it will be a major disappointment. The guard position will be talented and experienced once again, we actually have a halfway decent post, with hopefully strong development from Cashman and Sheilds in the offseason. Weber, Eastern, and Montana are my expected challengers for the crown next year, we better have a seat at that table. You can all the great talent, but at some point you need the results from that great talent. The results is Big Sky titles and NCAA tourney appearances and wins.
  11. Half the teams in 3A are not very good, when I was in High School not too long ago it wasn't shocking to see the top schools in that section beat the bottom teams 15-1, 17-1, heck even 20-1. While SW Minnesota hockey has progressed nicely since I graduated (2009), it still has a long ways to go to catch up with the rest of the state. Although I never thought a SW school would ever be in Hockey Day in Minnesota, much less Luverne. Basketball still remain king in that corner of the state of hockey (although I won't complain about that )
  12. Everybody needs a scapegoat, sadly. Far be it from me to be a Packer supporter I feel for the guy who will now get unnecessary hate from social media. Burnett is getting some flack from sliding on the interception, but I recall a SD/NE playoff game where a Charger linebacker intercepted a ball late and on the ensuing return fumbled it and the Pats recovered, then went down the field and tied the game and won in OT. It still goes back to the first quarter where Green Bay was at the 1 yard line twice and decided to kick field goals. You have Lacy and Kuhn, and you can't get a yard? Worst case you have them buried deep in their territory. 14-0 looks way better than 6-0, and that falls on the coach. If that game was 24-0 instead of 13-0, its over. No way Seattle makes that up.
  13. Jets survive a shootout win with Yotes. Now tied with the Hawks for 3rd in the central and hold serve to the stars and wild.
  14. Ugly. But the pack might regret not putting touchdowns up. It might bite them in the end.
  15. Frustrating thing is that we should be sitting at 3-2 or 4-1 if we do rebound, get timely stops, don't force bad shots. There is a some encouraging signs during the homestand, however the record is what is it. UND has a critical road swing this weekend with Idaho and EWU, and a bigger homestand with Weber and ISU. UND is going to need to pull a 3-1 or get all 4 to get back into the thick of the Big Sky playoff race. I feel the 2nd half of the schedule is a little softer and if UND can figure it out (toughest game I feel is at Sac, then at UNC, get SUU twice, NAU twice, Montanas at home, and at PSU), they can get on a run. Despite a tough shooting night, Hooker has been awesome since the start of conference play. Averaging 14 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 5.4 apg, (27 assists to 9 turnovers so a 3:1 Turnover ratio).Shooting at 46%, 3 point shooting isn't anything to celebrate at 25% however, but outside of last nights game, he hasn't attempted too many. He has really started to live up to the high expectations that were had of him when he first stepped on campus. Still waiting for that one game where he really takes over. Shanks appears to be the long-term answer at the 5. He has given us an offensive threat that we desperately needed and has great chemistry with Hooker. He does need to get bigger and stronger so he can battle more on the boards, but it feels nice to not worry our center for a change. Nash has had better games this homestand, Tyler is Tyler: He has moments where he is on fire and moments he just frustrates you. Same with De Rouen. Lenny has cooled off in the last few games, but still this is the best he has played in his career. We have a glaring issue at the small forward and the 3 guard lineup isn't working. Coleman or Hobaugh need to step up and fill it.. NOW!
  16. Last night I said 7, we got 7. Tonight we get 6, panz get 1 of the 6 6-1
  17. 22-11 UNC Poor defense, poor shot selection, you name it
  18. UND students rocking ponchos alongside green out tonight. We drop 7. 7-0
  19. Must win game at home. Need I say more
