Iowa has been a major disappointment, lots of people had them picked to get to Indy with their favorable schedule. Escapes against UNI, a loss to Iowa State, and an absolute beat down at TCF by the Gophers. Wonder if Kirk seat is starting to get warm in Iowa City.

One surprise score from yesterday was Idaho State pounding Idaho 71-50 at Poky. The Griz/UND matchup Saturday will be a good one, early season clash of the two preseason favorites. The re-emergence of Megan Lauck is just what the doctor ordered for this team. Now we have someone in our starting lineup with some length that can stretch the floor, and can rebound. She has shown she can take over parts of the game when needed.

UND hits some big free throws down the stretch to get their 3rd straight win in Bozeman. Now they look to pull a rare sweep of the Montana Schools in the treasure state. Montana will brining a different set of challenges, especially with their big guy. Rebounding is suspect at times with the Griz. They put up a lot of 3's against UNC (11/31) and pretty much dominated the Bears. This will be a tougher matchup and the Griz are one of those team you can't quite figure out if they are going to challenge for the title or be a middle of the road team. UND needs to shore up the turnovers and be efficient with the ball on offense. Hoping they can build off the MSU performance and go from there. They have to figure out how to slow down Gregory and Breunig. All time series record since UND has moved to the Big Sky: 1-3, 0-2 in Montana THIS would be a big win if they can get it. Looks like Lauck has been put back in the starting lineup in place of Siri. Like the move, she has played very well the past few games and has hit 2 3's in the game already against MSU 10-8 UND

Dustin and Lenny were huge off the bench and sucking up minutes when Tyler and De Rouen were in foul trouble. Good to see Shanks have a nice game offensively, and felt that he defended the rim quite well. Hopefully he can snag a few more boards as well. On to Montana, would be huge to pull that game out and be 2-0 with 3 home games upcoming.
