I stumbled upon this one on my feed.

I always think its telling that a team like Boston or Houston wouldn't bother to give them more than a 1 year deal. If they feel like they had more tread on the tires, they would have opened up the bank a little more. Both will go somewhere and I don't honestly think either one goes to Minnesota. (which will then cause the "they are being cheap/they don't really want to win" comments to rear their ugly heads).

Sure enough, they bounce back tonight. Important date coming up on June 3rd: That is when the pick compensation goes away for any team wanting to sign Kimbrel and Keuchel. Be interesting to see how aggressive they go after either pitcher.

I swiped this comment from the SDSU board: He made a great impact at Black Hills State (final 4 appearance), lost to the team that won it the following year without a starter..... I took a coaching class from him, and with him its not about his offense (its pretty simple, which was a joke about the class), its about intensity, and getting the most out of his players. He'll recruit well in Minnesota (where he is from) which is something that SDSU/NDSU/USD will not necessary be used to. He will be visual on campus, know people (he knew me and had no reason to know me at Black Hills State). I'm glad he got a D-I job, and I think UND will be a perfect place for him. (he is use to recruiting with a budget and a car, and has done a pretty darn good job of it)

It could have... but it also might not have made a difference anyways. You could give me all the academic resources at my fingertips and get all the reminders to get my work done, but at the end of the day... it is up to me to do the work.

Put the banners back up! The NCAA allowed other schools to get away with worse! (fake classes anyone?) In all seriousness: With all the resources that UND athletes have at their disposal and given the first year is mostly generals anyway, you have to try really hard to not end up with 2.0 GPA. I remember as a TA getting constant emails asking about how athletes are doing in the classroom.

Meh, you get a few of those in a 162 game season.

You think they drop to 8 before they get to 10?

I wonder when they add a 10th team they will go to something similar.

I'm trying to remember how many were on the previous committee. I thought it was 13.

Did they give any indication as to how long Wynne would serve as interim?

I can live with either option. (pretty much avoiding DiLorenzo or Storres is a victory already).

They are playing it close to the vest, but I would guess they wouldn't go that route. My guess is they just bring someone in that holds the fort down until they pick the new person. Judging by the names thrown around, they really want someone that has been or was at UND for a while to take the position. One name I haven't seen mentioned... DiLorenzo. I hope it stays that way tomorrow.

I don't think I have ever heard of one with SDSU and UND. From my understand and reading, they are looking into making a new trophy for UND and NDSU. I sure hope there will be at least one by 2020.

Hey, I resemble that remark (minus the Wild) With the amount of bad baseball I've seen this decade, I will enjoy this for now. Do I think they can win it all with this current constructed roster? No, they will need to make moves to do so. Will they make those moves... time will tell.

So UND should have an interim president chosen this week at the board meeting. please don’t screw this up
