2020-21 University of North Dakota Hockey Season
SWSiouxMN replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
Looks like Adams and Mismash are back as well. -
Just to clarify, when I put Sims last it was just a random order for the bench. My reasoning for Shockey is this: I really like DAE in the 3 spot in the lineup and would rather have him stay in that spot and not have to move him to the 2 spot and make room for Sims at the 3. Out of the two incoming guards, I would play Shockey over Ihrenacho. Unless DAE improves his shooting quite a bit in the offseason, they really more of a shooter to start there. Although: You could have 6'6, 6'7, 6'9 and 6'9 in your starting lineup if you did move DAE to the 2 spot and Sims at the 3. That is a ton on length and could be pretty good on the defensive end. The other reason I would have Sims off the bench in this: I think he can provide a punch from the bench and make it stronger from a scoring standpoint. Now... this is all assuming UND does land Archambault.

If you get the Archambault kid to commit, I would guess this as the starting lineup Archambault Shockey DAE Sueker Rebraca Bench: G, Brady, Ihrenacho, and Sims. I guess Panoam/Ethan would be the 10th man. Guessing Bergan would take a redshirt unless he comes in lighting it up. Lots of parts that would have to come together, but from a paper standpoint.... this is a stronger team with a much better bench.

Looks like Marko is the first of the transfer to find a home, he is going to Sioux Falls. Wonder if Kaeding helped out with that.
-
The team played 3/4th of the season without him last year, so it won't be too much of a transition.
-
Averaged 13.8 ppg, shot 46% from 3, averaged near 3 assists per game last year at Gillette. Would solve a bigger issue that shooting, another Point Guard to run the show.
-
Land the Archambault kid and the worries will go away.

It’s time to ask the question: Will the NHL finish the season or will they call it and try again in October?
-
I’m confident that there will be one
-
I think they needed to move on. I don't think they could have done another year with Brew. Watching them in Sioux Falls told me that they needed to make a move. Unfortunately, circumstances beyond UNDs control have appeared to stop them from what they wanted to do.
-
I do hope Mallory does well this coming season and can get the team back in the right direction.
-
Fair enough

FDA also approved those disinfecting machines for masks. This might seem like a silly question, but why do you think that there wouldn't be this technology already mass produced in hospitals? Would love an answer.
-
I wonder how much they really could do now with the pandemic. The article that Biz posted seemed to hint at that.
-
I'm hoping that this will help get people out of the hospital quicker so things don't get overwhelmed. Keep getting treatments out there people! Lets get lucky
-
Bernhard will be the interim for next year.
-
So when in April does the NCAA vote on St. Thomas moving up or not?
-
I agree I would feel a whole lot better about this team and their potential if he comes here.
-
I’d take both 2015 Fargo regional games if anyone had those anywhere. Would love to watch them again.
-
His Dad was Russ Archambault, who played at the U during the Clem Era.
-
Played for Rapid City Stevens in High School Averaged 13.8 ppg, shot 46% from 3, averaged near 3 assists per game last year at Gillette. Would give UND another ball handler, which they desperately need.
-
What I would like to see next year: Playoffs and a playoff win. Don't care how many wins it will take, just get in and get a playoff win. Beat Valpo + Undefeated in October + Beat SIU should be enough to get in.
-
I think they will play. It is wayyyyyy too soon to start talking cancelling FB.
-
Yup! Has 2 years left

He did offer him when he was in Northern. Fun fact: his mom was my middle school science teacher.
