I hope that this can save a lot of farmers bacon (no pun intended) down in SW MN. As long as it is done "safely"*

Too many complainers.... but then again it is Minneapolis.

Thank you.

Did the NoDak Governor give any specifics on what bars, restaurants, etc. need to do or what capacity they are allowing or is that coming another day? I'm asking because I can't find it anywhere other than the announcement that they are opening up.
-
I joked to my fiancé that if we can make it through this, then we can make it through anything. We had two weeks where we were in our apartment constantly, which got nervy towards the end, but she has gotten back to work.
-
I'm in the same boat as you, mine is in Early September but we haven't moved anything yet or plan to until otherwise told.

My guess they have similar working conditions to the pork plants and other meat packing plants. However, that is just a guess and I don't have any inside knowledge. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to watch what happens in Willmar and see if they do go down the same path as Worthington in terms of an outbreak. Farming was already hurting with the pork plants going down, turkey plants going down would be another blow.
-
Looks like Willmar might be going along the same path as Worthington in regards to a hot spot. The turkey plant there closed up for two weeks. Nobles County (where Worthington is in) is up to 325 cases.

Remember folks: It wasn't that long ago that people were putting tide pods in their mouths and putting it on YouTube. So this isn't that shocking.
-
I hope it does too. Pray for a hot and humid May. I hope we can get lucky.
-
Yes, my bad.

Listened to some of the Fan Forum talk (today was the BBall coaches turn, below is what Sather mentioned, decided to share the highlights, but not all inclusive) On incoming freshman -Mentioned that Bergan has a similar build of Walter, needs to get stronger, aggressive, high ceiling -Mentioned Tyler has great size for a PG, can push the pace, great feel for the game -Mentioned Shockey is the ultimate competitor, huge hands, combo guard, make shots and can finish On Transfers -Mentioned Sims, can guard all positions, great intangibles. -Mentioned Sueker filling the Walter role, great face up player and can get inside as well. -Mentioned Nero, can play at either 1 or 2, 3 level scorer, hoping that he can play right away.
-
Still was a damn good movie.

In a shock to no one, MN will announce distance learning for the rest of the school year today. Nobles county continues to be a massive hotspot, added 70 new cases now. They are now at 196.
-
This is straight up insane % of infections. I do wonder if they had the breakdown of people who knew they had it (got tested, positive result) vs didn't know (couldn't get tested).
-
It will be. However, business still can say: While I have the option to do so, I chose to stay closed. Lot of people are pushing back... but I hope that their plan works and doesn't end it a setback.
-
Its why before the order when down the first time, I got all of my things out the classroom. What really sucks is that I won't get a chance to watch either of my cousins play baseball this year (one is a senior, the other is a freshman at St. Thomas)

I appreciate the feedback.

It will be interesting to see how many districts inside MT decide to do that. It will also interesting to see if any other state follows this. Rumor is MN is potentially making their decision tomorrow. I would be SHOCKED if we go back.
-
I see Montana is giving local school districts the option to return to in-school learning on May 7th. They might be the first one that I have seen to give that option.
-
Of course the Biggest news story of the day in MN was the announcement of the ramping up of testing, led by the Mayo and the U of M to have a goal of up to 20,000 diagnostic tests and up to 15,000 antibody tests per day. Walz was blunt, its on him if it doesn't happen. We shall see what happens.
-
Nobles County continues to be a hot spot in MN, now up to 126 cases. 6 days ago they had 2.... 2! For some context, the county has roughly 21,000 people. Awful situation down there.

Would love to get some thoughts on this: https://www.startribune.com/what-i-learned-during-10-days-of-treating-covid-pneumonia/569857042/

Well yes, he could. Not sure if he would want to do that and would want to play immediately. I’m not against a JUCO, but just thinking down the line here.
