  2. https://gscpioneers.com/news/2020/2/18/mens-basketball-verplanckens-journey-to-glenville-state.aspx Quite the journey to get to where he was.
  3. Offering another D2 transfer, but this one is getting a lot of D1 offers: SIU, SUU, McNeese State, Quinnipiac, and St. Bonaventure have offers out on him as well. However, unlike Sueker, he doesn't appear to be immediately eligible to play, but can redshirt to have 3 years to play. Might be an under the radar guy to get, but won't help in 20-21.
  4. It would have been nice but it wasn't in the cards, Sueker could fit into that role for a little while however, he is fully capable. However, that is for another thread.
  5. Wonder if Sather is looking for his UND version of Parker Fox.
  6. Two more regular season moments for me. UND was playing St. Cloud in the last home game before winter break. Was in Upper Bowl and noticed when the curtain was drawn back that... HOLY CRAP! They are wearing their black jerseys at home! UND then proceeded to drop 4 goals in the 1st period and win 6-2. Here's an UND/U of M one: Waiting outside in the student line when the FSN North crew was out interviewing some of the student. A U of M fan decided to try and bomb the camera when they were interviewing a UND fan. He got within 3 steps of her when he slipped on the snow/ice, fell backward and landed on his back. The crowd ABSOLUTELY let him have it....
  7. I think Rebraca is in for a big year next year. I would like to see him get stronger so he doesn't get pushed around as much on the defensive end and it would help him finish a little better down on the block. Would like him to continue to work on his free throw shooting and that 10-12 foot jumper to keep the defense honest. I wouldn't be shocked if he averaged a double-double next year (I think he could average 17 points, 10 rebounds). G definitely needs to have a bigger impact next year, I want to see him have a big impact off the bench for this squad. I hope he can shoot it a little more. He certainly has the size, needs to add a little more muscle to his frame. For me, I think DAE is in the needs category, because if he can improve his outside shot and his ball handling…. look out. Given his ability to attack the basket, this would make this part of his game even more lethal. I believe he will do both. He should have been on the All-Summit newcomer team, he won't be left of a team next year.
  8. Decision making should also be added to your list. I think the last two are weighted very importantly in Sather's "attack the heart of the paint" offensive thinking. The scoring is a by-factor of that plus the decision making on when to attack verses when to distribute.

  10. Now with that figured out, lets turn back our attention to UND's present players. Given who we have coming back, who do you think will take their games to another level next year and who do you think needs to make that next level jump?
  11. I'm hoping for good things, but expected to be disappointed.

  13. St. Thomas decision delayed until June at least. https://www.startribune.com/st-thomas-won-t-learn-d-i-fate-until-june-at-the-earliest/569547302/
  14. Did they say those would be the numbers by August or were they assuming a later time frame. I thought I saw somewhere that it was a longer time frame that they were assuming those numbers but not 100% sure. However, I see another run in a few weeks that will knock it down because the assumptions will change (i.e: treatment, social distancing working, antibody testing, etc.) so I am taking all the death projections with a grain of salt.
  15. Looks like he has offers from Montana St and North Alabama as well. Can he handle the ball? Would easily fill the 2 spot in the lineup but doesn't necessarily fix the issue at point guard.
  16. February 2nd, 2013 UND was playing Wisconsin. Me and the future wife (then girlfriend) were in the priority student line waiting to get in (watched the mens bball play in the afternoon). Two people ahead of us was a guy who was complaining that this frozen badger under his coat was starting to stink. I heard what he said, turned to my gf and mouthed: he has a dead <bleeping> Badger underneath his coat. UND raced out to a 2-0 lead, but it was the third goal in the second period when the Badger flew onto the ice and the students went wild. UND won the game 4-1, was quite the BADger beatdown.
  17. Not at this time, UND needs quality depth at point guard to make this all go. I like what they have done at all the other spots in the lineup.
  18. It sucks, but time to find a new target at the point. Not the end of the world, but man it would have been nice to land him.
  19. Hate to say it... but you were right he just committed to USD.
  20. This might be crazy enough to work.
  21. If she can improve the team, I expect the job to be hers. Get the team to the top half of the Summit next year. Definitely can be done with this group.
