One would surmise that the SBOHE would have to challenge the issue being that it otherwise would cut their legs out from under them. By reading the NDSC it does not take much to see that Carlson's Folly will not hold up.

Do all the teams in the new conference have the facilities to handle a tourney? Or maybe do the tourney like the NCAA does and bid it out. A geographical limit to where though. I would think that the Exel or Target Centers would love to host it. Both places are easy to get to for all the fans. My question to those who would know is, what schools fans travel the best? Is there an arena in say Kansas City that could host a tourney?

I asked the CFO of the Alumni Foundation if donations had gone done. Her reply was, "Like from the ones that never gave to start with?" Better words she was saying all those who were claiming that they would not give if the logo was gone never gave anyhow.

Great points on the what ifs. Then you could also ask, can you really punish the checker more than they are punishing themselves forever? The poor kid will live with this forever. I know and have known people who caused someone to get hurt like this, or worse, and a couple of them totally fell apart. As DaveK said it so well how you can't stop living because of what could happen.

This maybe extreme but how about banning a player who gets a checking from behind penalty for a minimum of ten games and if flagrant for the season? If there are serious consequences for their actions it might help.

I'm glad that you included the kid who checked him. How would any of us feel if we checked someone and this was the result. I think we would all feel devastated by it as adults. Imagine how a high school kid would feel and the guilt he will carry forever.

If the teabaggers were a real party and power why do they need to ride on the Republican coat tails in lieu of standing on their own platform?
