I broke down the areas offered. It's a huge majority of Midwest kids with an emphasis on talent rich Midwest states like Illinois Minnesota and Wisconsin.

For example, it took ndsu years to be able to find quality corners that could cover in the Tampa 2 and the d1 level. They finally had success on a juco corner (gatlin) and a couple others and now they have a load of good secondary players. Hopefully Konalowski can play. Darryl Brown was really good as a fr then had an injury plagued year last year and has been up and down this year. The other corners have pretty much sucked outside of a couple plays here and there by Mackey three times a year. I don't see the current soph cbs as legit d1 players. We need to find a juco or two as well as a good fr or two. What I can't figure out is how we haven't had a great cb since Alexander. We need to find some guys like him.

He did run into the qb but Adams acted like he got shot. Idk if they throw that flag if Adams doesn't flop. And I've heard that they aren't too high on Harris and Chris Brown for what that's worth. I'm no fan of Mackey at all but at this point it's either him or a ham sandwich. We literally don't have another option if they're not going to play Konalowski.

For my money id go with Ausmus.
-
I'm looking at his games as a whole. Last week he made a lot of good throws he also had two bad picks, one being terrible. He played better in that game than he did against MSU though. And from last week to yesterday was a big improvement.
-
You've got to stick with Joe because Ryan is a sitting duck back there. That alone gives us a better chance since Joe is hard to sack. He can also make some throws that Ryan can't. Ryan struggles with the deep ball, Joe doesn't usually. He looked good for the most part yesterday and will look better next week and better again the week after.
-
He's better than the younger corners. It's their fault they aren't better than him. That's why he starts and they don't. Are you suggesting we throw games to get a better draft pick?
-
So how good is Miami? I know they're ranked higher than us but the rankings don't mean anything this early.
-
Rhodes will be a good player for them. I don't remember the last time they've had two good corners.
-
A lot of the higher end guys won't commit until late. An example would be Aeron Carr or Norberg. It'd be nice to have some commits now but I'm fine with waiting for some good ones. What scares me to death is watching Harris and Chris Brown. They are worse than Mackey. Harris is as slow as molasses in January. They won't cut it. We need to bring in a couple juco corners or we will be screwed. I want to see Konalowski play because he looked like the second best cb. Either way we need a couple good cbs in this class that can play right away.

73.3% and 355 is pretty damn good. We just need him to get rid of the pick six and couple bad throws and get a couple TDs which probably would have happened had there not been the fumbles. He's starting to come around.

Honestly the defense did their part yesterday. The offense hurt them a few times that lead to scores. They gave up 28 points to an offense that absolutely torched a good Oregon St team. I'm starting to get a little hope in the defense, Kotelnicki is starting to get these guys to play. With how the defense played yesterday we should have one. It's the offense's turn to improve next game.

Joes throwing motion isn't what's flawed, it's his feet and eyes. They've gotten better each game and I expect they will continue to do so.

I didn't think joe played like a fr yesterday. He was damn near 75% passing and made great throws and decisions most every time. He had a couple of throws get away from him when his feet weren't set but those moments were far fewer than previous games. He did make a terrible read on the int as he had Hardin on the sideline open about 30 yards down field. Joe was forced to throw the team back into the game and nearly did that. The Golladay fumble was an absolute back breaker and was not on Joe, he had the team marching on that drive. It would have been a totally different game if we score there instead of fumble. Overall I thought Joe had his best game but still has a lot to improve on.
-
Joe's bad throws always happen when he has poor fundamentals with his feet. When he sets up and through the throw he's really good and accurate. He had a really good game today besides a couple of throws and the fumble. Bottom line, he is improving.
-
Never said any of that. I just pointed out that the team was well coached and ready this week. If Mussman deserves to get !@#$ on when things go terribly doesn't he deserve some credit when something is improved? He still needs to do a hell of a lot to keep his job though.
-
No. And the refs made no indication.
-
1 penalty in the first half I believe. That is awesome. The second half had 5 which is still to many but it is a small step in the right direction when compared to other games. If you look at the stats the only difference between the two teams were the turnovers. Those fumbles and the int were backbreakers. Guys need to hold onto the ball.
-
Honestly I didn't see Mussman or any coaching lose this game. He moved the fr to the stands and had the team ready to play and they played hard today. Mussman didn't fumble or throw an int tonight.
-
I didn't get a good look at it so hearing this pisses me off. The missed rough the punter was worse though since it was so obvious.
-
Is it actually? You and I both know better than that. Also the game is not over and we're at home. Considering everyone though EWU would score 10000 points I'm pretty sure this is a better start than anyone expected. Back to my original point.... stop complaining and enjoy the damn game.
-
Its 14 to 6. Why is anyone complaining? Enjoy the game, they're actually in it this time.
-
Bjugstad was a damn moose with the skill set of a poor mans Lindros and the heart of a gopher. I don't think tambellini has that type of build. He's built more like Brock was.

UND should be an easy sell. There is always an angle to work on recruits.

Any news on recruiting?
