If we being in a current FCS coach they would be able to try and bring some of their current recruits with them to UND.
Keeping Kotelnicki as special teams coordinator would be great since he proved to basically be one of the best in the nation already. I also like the idea of Schleusner staying because of his dominance in Illinois recruiting. I'm just not sure how these guys would handle demotion. Maybe they would be more up for it if their pay stayed the same since we should be paying the next staff a lot more?
To promote from within would be a disaster. Kotelnicki is probably the closest to being ready to be a head coach and I don't think he's anywhere near ready.
That seems consistent with what I've seen. Things seemed more 'open' on offense before Hakstol and maybe that's why sometimes UND looks less creative and skilled than their opponents. Miami and BC are two teams that usually expose that from what I've seen.
I'm a hockey fan but couldn't break down strategies or systems to save my life, is what Hak is running now very different to what Blais did when he was winning all the time?
If they lose to UNC that will say more than any game of the year. They have all the motivation in the world after how the game ended last year and it's the seniors last game at home. A loss there and it's basically curtains, as if it already isn't.
