  1. I think Bubba and staff like their young OL. I say WR and RB and QB because they're harder to find and easier to just plug in and contribute. I do agree that the trenches are and always should be priority #1 from here on out. We just need a game breaker at WR and RB to make defenses worried.
  2. My guess would be a nose or big DE. Most likely nose since he's used some type of rush hashtag for pass rushers.
  3. Pretty accurate. I think if the coaches can land an FBS dropdown QB RB and WR things can turn around by next year.
  4. I appreciate yours posts since you are always level headed and full of good insight but I think you may be a little biased to Mollberg. His ability is off the charts but I'm not sure if the mental side of the game is on par. Sure he's only a soph but he's the starting qb and needs to play like it, he's not Joey Bradley. Lazy feet and lack of awareness of when to flick a short pass to an open man and when to rifle one have been his major weaknesses so far. If he can improve those he could be great. It's a long season but he needs to be better as do the OL and WR.
  5. Mollberg has a cannon but no touch. His feet are also a mess. They need to be fixed.
  6. I like what Simmons brings but I question his durability. Just watching him make contact with defenders is awkward. I've seen him run into defenders instead of exploding into them. He hurt his shoulder yesterday because he lowered a limp shoulder into a defender. He needs to flex that shoulder/arm if he lowers it. I don think he can handle more than 15-18 carries a game. That's why we need a lot more Shaugs.
  7. Will Rattelle is on pace to have 138 tackles this year. He is who we thought he was.
  8. So is their defense.
  9. But if the d touches the ball it becomes live for the offense, that's why they don't generally. It's dangerous and can lead to dumb plays that can cost games.
  10. it depends on which side of the LOS the ball lands.
  11. Studsrud?
  12. Good kid, he just doesn't have the vision. That RMU true fr back had outstanding vision, and good size too.
  13. Speaking of walk ons, Thompsons own Reineke has had himself one hell of a second half.
  14. More Shaugs
  15. O !@#$. Take a seat bitch.
  16. Wentz has two picks already. Weber has some long athletic dbacks.
  17. All the injured players and redshirts are wearing grey Adidas warmup pants
  18. I don't care how the offense looks outside the OL. All other spots are quick fixes. The d looks much much better. They give up a td after a blown play and block the pat. After that they've been SOLID. I'll take boring play and solid d all day at this point.
  19. No. Same old off colored loose fitting greens.
  20. Say what you want about walk ons but we've had some contributing today and making plays.
  21. Gang Green
  22. Feeling good about this game and the weather for tailgating. I predict I get a beautiful bronze and have quenched thirst all day. Maybe a caramel apple from Widmans.
  23. Probably underwhelming.
  24. Cheatom looked better at end last year anyway.
  25. As if verbals weren't shaky enough
