  1. Essentially. Wouldn’t you want them to have a school to attach to? Or would they just be the Grand Forks Fighting Rejects?
  2. You could even have a team for Thompson in the lower division with Grand Forks kids that wouldn’t make varsity and don’t want to play 3 years of jv.
  3. Edina kids on cake. That’s good stuff.
  4. Why would you ever put him down low? Let him use his mid range game and quickness to pull bigs away from the basket and wreak havoc.
  5. As long as he's bottom 6 the way Hextall was.
  6. So they could go to the MN tournament and ruin the damn thing by winning it all. Could you imagine? It was bad enough that EGF won.
  7. If GF combined they should play AA MN and would make state most years.
  8. Just think, they all could’ve been apart of a UND team that wouldn’t make the tournament. Instead they get to actually go to the tournament and actually win a game for a change.
  9. I know I dog Olson from time to time but that was one sweet pass he made.
  10. I'll take the Reyes Rattelle Golladay types and hopefully, we don't get the duds.
  11. I will give you that women’s hockey has a 10,000x better chance to come back than the nickname. That’s all I’ll give you.
  12. They’ve been carpet bombing Mussman style so far
  13. There's nothing wrong with constructing a new district in a town. Grand Forks' downtown is chocked full of potential which is why I feel strongly about further developing it. One huge issue with the examples you gave is that nobody lives there. We don't need malls. Malls are dying because they're stale. A new district with shops and offices and restaurants can only work properly if it incorporates residential spaces. There are a couple locations in Grand Forks that could support this type of development.
  14. Easy to find a place to park yes. Downtowns should be planned around the movement of people first. Cars second. That's not to say the entirety of downtown should be biking paths and closed off streets with no traffic. There's a balance, and right now it's tipped too far towards cars.
  15. If you want to attract and, more importantly, retain, young talent to a town you need to have a strong downtown with all the bells and whistles.
  16. You're welcome boys. I tuned in when we were down 19. Joe Cravens is a fun listen with his strange southern sayings.
  17. Same climate and it works. In other words, the snow excuse doesn't hold. And you're crazy if you don't want GF's downtown to experience a renaissance on the level of Fargo's downtown the last 10 years.
  18. And also a couple of the worst defensive plays you'll ever see.
  19. "Marlon Stewert is hotter than a fat kid's corduroys" - color guy
  20. My stomach dropped when I saw the video. He hit awkwardly and clutched at his mid-back the same way Shazier from the Steeler did when he injured his spine.
  21. Works pretty well in Fargo.
