I'm confused because if a team has Gopher players on it I'm guessing there are Gopher fans cheering for that team. If Gopher fans cheer for a team we must dislike them. Cheer for whoever you want, but disliking a team based on what college hockey team they cheer for is odd to me.

Seems like an odd take. As a graduate of E. Grand forks I grew up hating Warroad, but sure enjoyed watching Oshie and Nelson while they were at UND. I'm wondering, do you take a poll of fans of all teams you cheer for to see who there favorite College hockey team is. Can someone cheer on the Vikings or Twins, as a good chunk of there fans are Gopher fans. As someone that can't stand NDSU, I can't imaging not cheering for UND hockey because there are a lot of NDSU Football fans that cheer for UND Hockey. How do you handle when a former UND players is playing on the same team as a former gopher player? I'm assuming the 1980 USA gold medal winning team was/is devastating for you with all the gopher players on that team. I'm guessing it was a tough time for you when Blais was the coach, former Gopher and all.

I'd trade those guys for another NC. It's all about building a National Championship team, not about bringing in guys we can watch in the NHL after they leave. It would be nice to do both, but the ultimate goal is plan and simple build a national championship team. As a MN Wild fan I care much more about Brock Faber's success than Sanderson's.

Agree As much as I liked our Depth, it was nice having a CBS Line that you can rely upon in the National Tournament. Depth is great in the Regular season, but come Playoff time when there are more breaks its nice to have a high power line to double shift if needed.

I've been to 3. I would rank them 1.Vegas 2.Tampa 3. St Paul I don't care to go to St Paul again. It might be because i've been to St Paul way to many time to count and there is nothing new about it. Vegas was by far the best.

I wonder what percent of DU fans will be rooting of UND if it is a UND v. Michigan final. I know for me I can't get myself to root for DU vs the Big Ten.

Fixed it for you. Once Minnesota's asst. coach took the Head coaching job at OSU it seems to be Ohio st and Wisconsin.

Because it worked so well last year when we had to build almost a full roster through the portal.

Is he wanting to have weekday hockey? Not sure I'm a fan of that, but I guess it we are playing Thursday and Friday afternoons now. I for sure don't want to see round 1 one weekend and than wait for Round 2 until the next weekend. It is bad enough the way most conferences have done it with the Semifinals and Finals. One game a weekend is not enough and stretch's things out way too much.

Pretty impressive to be doing what he is at the age of 17. However if you chose to accelerate your education to enter college a year early you need to be held to the same expectations as everyone else.

Rooting for UMD over Penn State. Penn State is so arogent for the new program that has not done anything. At least UMD has won a few National Championships.

UND hosted at the Ralph when teams were allowed to. Notre Dame hosted because no one else put a bid in and the NCAA had not other choice. It has been said and I agree. All Western teams that want to host need to submit a bid to host in their own arena. Make that the only choice, until the east comes around and gets on board with #1 Seeds hosting. Teams like UNO, UND and Denver have been bailing the NCAA out by submitting bids in Fargo, Loveland, and Sioux Falls.
