  1. I am still thinking that UMD better have their AA game to beat MN. Not because MN is a "playoff team", but because of the way they (Duluth) are playing. I'm thinking CC gets through AA, we beat CC 4-1, CC and MN duke it out to a 5-4 Gopher triumph (Briggs is not going to be solid ) UND should be set with your bracket or mine for a trip. I wouldn't mind seeing CC at the world, they haven't been much at home this year. Plus, anything to keep us out of Mich. I'm kidding, no matter where we go I'm liking our chances. It's another conspiracy (planned since September I'm sure) that the Gophers are sent out east. I hope streaking Maine can put their three-peat to rest before we get a chance. I can't sleep I'm so excited for this weekend and those to come. *By the way I'm going to all the games this weekend!! Take that kidney!! jk
  2. As painful as it would be to watch, if the Bulldogs play the way they played against Mankato, the Gophers will run right over them. It might actually be funny to watch, if the Gophers come into the championship with a big head and we dominate them the way we are capable of. First things first, though, bring on CC (or AA) I don't know. *AT LEAST I CAN WATCH THAT GAME!!
  3. Good point, but I don't think I even have enough money to drive to Fargo. *At least not till I get paid on Friday. No way I'd make it down for a 2:08 faceoff... All right I'm going to make it work!! *Maybe, but not the kidney thing
  4. Personally, I think it's stupid to televise the 3rd place game instead of a semifinal. The reasoning behind this is to give a possible gopher game airtime, but I still think, if anything, that should be the scrapped game. Who cares what I think anyway!? No money to get down to the cities, and now the game is probably not going to be on TV! I'm in sorry form.
  5. In my tests I horribly abused the bonuses and got BC into the top spot and UND all the way to 3rd. This was contingent upon a .0025 bonus for road win, a .0005 bonus for neutral site, and a .00005 bonus for home win. These are ridiculously high bonuses, but even when UND wins the WCHA, if the NCAA uses numbers like these we won't get the #1 over all. I guarentee I have no idea how to properly use the numbers.
  6. I like how the only upset is UM-UND, which isn't exactly an upset. If UND plays their tournament game they will continue to win. UM will beat Duluth because right now Duluth is not playing well, actually ever since we beat them (again). If Reichmuth can find his jock again then maybe Duluth could beat MN. I had similar results, though, but with more upsets. Mass beating UNH, Maine of course winning that final. Colgate winning the ECAC. Michigan losing to Notre Dame and Miami winning the CCHA. UND of course wins the WCHA.
  7. Time to skate some lines Duluth. If the Dogs play that way against UM we won't be seeing them in the Final Five Championship. Get it done so we can see some dynomite hockey in the championship game. *Actually it'll be great no matter who shows up.
  8. UMD-UMN is contingent upon Duluth hanging on...I wish I could listen in.
  9. Nope, it's UAA-CC Thursday Winner of that vs UND Friday afternoon UMN-UMD Friday night (that'll be ridiculous) Should be a great weekend of hockey
  10. Bucky is done... Oh well. How's Duluth? I can't get audio.
  11. Nevermind...I saw that little Pohl committed way back in November. Hopefully the sioux play on Friday night. Eitherway I'm going to wh... my body out for tickets! Must see them excel at the xcel!!
  12. I saw on Tri-City's page that Tom Pohl was listed on the roster. Johnny Pohl's little bro? If it is I remember playing against him when he was in Red Wing (I'm from Farmington, for those of you who know where that is). I remember how "starstruck" some of our Tiger faithful were when John showed up for one of his brother's games in Farmington. I also remember how he acted when we beat them . Tom didn't quite have his brother's scoring touch, but this was back in 2000/01, so who knows where he's at now. Anybody have a read on him? Going to the gophers anytime soon?
  13. Nevermind...you're the man PCM, you're the man!
  14. Can anybody tell me when the coaches show aires? I got home from class early today, and I was hoping to catch it. Clearly I did not, but I was just wondering. Recap this week, PCM?
  15. I seem to remember something about a National Championship game, my Freshman year infact, in 2001 that they won in dramatic fashion. That game was most definately in Alabama. But yeah, so we win enough to get some home playoff games. For our 1 non-playoff loss last year being on the road I'd say we're pretty versatile. *Correcting posts on my first non-hockey thread.
  16. Duluth at 10-1?? That's ridiculous. There is no way in hell Cornell would get there before Duluth!! I guess the only difference is that we haven't beaten Cornell 5 times running!
  17. I agree. I'm all for that fourth line, but he knows what he's doing. I liked Parise, Murray, Genoway together I especially liked Bochenski, Lundbohm, Porter... We'll see, I've got faith in whatever is settled upon.
  18. It's not a big issue. Under "normal" circumstances the visiting team only gets to practice/skate on the ice once or twice before the game. If that were different, many teams would leave earlier and get more practice in. If you ask the Tech players/coaches I guarentee there are no hard feelings. The ralph is used for other things throughout the week, including our team's normal practices. It costs money to keep it running and clean throughout the day, so even if we let them practice there they would probably have to pay. Considering how every other conglomorate in this town charges, it makes more sense to rent some cheap ice in East Grand and practice there. Practice is practice, like it's been said, ice is ice.

    FINAL 5

Got to admit that Lucia did a hell of a job winning 3 league titles in CC (no NCs), but went to MN and won 2 NCs (no league titles). Coaching style change? Good for him. I still say I like Blais better...and I wonder why??
  20. Hopefully we don't take the Huskies as lightly as this Duluth Tribune writer does! "The Bulldogs still have a shot at the league championship with a sweep, but realistically, with North Dakota hosting league doormat Michigan Tech next weekend, the Bulldogs are in a fight for second place." Go Sioux!!
  21. I was seriously shocked when I saw that #1 tag on our backs. Good for them. I'm so pumped for future hockey weekends in the next month. We're looking good. People kind of lost BC faith pretty fast. I understand why we got the votes (sweeping hot team at their barn), but I figured they would keep it for another week maybe. I think we have some bandwagon pollsters!!
  22. Great atmosphere! Gotta love it. Thanks a ton!
  23. <4 hours remaining to game time. Are we going to see it at Sensers? I REALLY hope so. Actually I don't mind listening to Hennessy like last night, but it's better when I can analyze the goals on my own.
  24. YEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! 4-1...not over by far...but that helps a lot. Way to go Lundbohm
