  1. Yep, we're in the "Denver" market and everyone is a Bronco fan rather than a Viking fan.
  2. Brad writes several articles every week. 3 questionable examples != a rule. I like that both teams had last week off. So neither team will be the presumed "rusty" vs "firing at game speed". I wonder how much of the sweep at the Ralph will play into this series. Denver's a hard team to read at this point.
  3. If only we had some sort of point system to determine this...
  4. Wilkie has been amping up his compete level a lot lately. I'm bummed he's out, but he hasn't been producing. A night in the stands might help. Shaw looked pretty solid last night. I know he's an offensive D in general, but his D zone coverage has been good early. He does a good job of taking guys off the puck. Let's see some effort tonight, minus the mistakes.
  5. This game definitely showed the rust UND had from playing lower tier opponents vs UNO getting swept by what should be a good DU team. UND had a lot of grade A chances, but could only bury a few. I thought Johnson's line was pretty decent. They worked hard and generated good chances. Boeser made some big freshman errors, at least one directly lead to a UNO goal. Really, it's like Jackson said, most of UNO's goals were off UND's tape. Clean that up, and they should win tonight.
  6. Exactly, I bet a lot of the interviews were some of the disgruntled alumni that Lucia is talking about in his response interview.
  7. The article actually does name a few alumni. I only remember Hartzell as one, but there were more. There were just a lot of unnamed scouts. I was pretty surprised at the length of the article. For a hatchet job, it is long and detailed.
  8. No offense to the schools that do sync radio with their video feed, but that would be a step backward. UND's (Midco's) production quality is really high, and if they're serious about re-upping when the contract is up, then hiring the right pbp person is a necessary first step.
  9. I feel like the new layout for the homepage, specifically, is lacking pictures. It's almost a solid page of text. So even though there's a good amount of white space, it feels cluttered. As with all changes like this, I'm sure it's something people will get used to.
  10. It was shown during the last games that the Duluth games will be on MIDCOSN2. I know for sure they said they'll be on, the exact channel is what I seem to remember.
  11. Haha, not sure how "Tomahawks" makes this list, but could you imagine that logo possibility!?
  12. The guys definitely got outskated for 75% of the game. Hrynkiw wasn't too bad, maybe only the 3rd goal could be on him. I think all three Wisc goals saw Stecher and Ausmus on the ice. The D was just slow in general. UW gave the forwards zero space, but when the guys did get open they played it way cute This was a bad loss, but it shows a completely different style of play to them. Need to see much more tenacity tonight.
  13. So Gersich up with Schmalz and Boesser again? They looked good in the first couple games.
  14. They covered it during the webcast. I think they said it was because it's an anniversary of the "America the Beautiful" song, which was written ‎by ‎Katharine Lee Bates during a trip to Co Springs.
  15. No offense to VT, as that was a pretty solid free option...but you get what you paid for. There was a single camera person who much of the time decided to follow players rather than the puck, and actually released the camera a couple times. There were no replays, and it was not in HD. Say what you will about Midco or the Ralph, but they continue to improve and put out a pretty outstanding broadcast. Pretty much all of the NCHC schools have a better solution than Vermont, and as a huge fan I'm fine with paying for that.
  16. It's on Cat Country for some reason 100.3 on iheartradio
  17. I think Bemidji's aggressive forecheck made our D look a bit slow. That could account for some of the mistakes we were seeing. It's early, and I'm betting it's rust, but these are still veterans. Bemidji looked a lot like a less talented version of the Sioux, which made for some fun but tense games. Not every team can or will be as aggressive, including their ultra-high pressure PK.
  18. Start fast, go fast in the middle, and finish fast. I don't know why everyone doesn't employ that strategy!
  19. Looking down the lineup, I'm wondering who is going to step up and win some faceoffs this year? It would be nice to develop someone that can do that in the clutch. Simonson? Schmaltz? Excited, as always, to see how it plays out!
  20. Even Blais, with his two titles, never got an NHL head coaching gig. I'm thrilled for Hak, and have no hard feelings with him moving on. It's a HUGE step up to coach at hockey's highest level. Yes, priority one is keeping recruits and returning players on the team! Maybe they have a coach already picked out? Though I could see pitchforks if there's not an open hire process (damned if they do...)
  21. I'm not saying I don't believe it, but a lot of goalies take a slower path to the NHL since there are so few per team. Dell won a championship and was the best CHL goalie in his only season there. In my eyes, he's climbed the ladder rather quickly. Now, he's only one rung down, and a standout in that league.
  22. Kind of like the logjam we had this year, where the National Junior Player of the Year as a defenseman played forward for 75% of the season? I think Jordan is gone too, though.
  23. Big playas believe they can take really good teams and put them over the top in big games.
