Viewing options for Sioux hockey games this season
SiouxTupa replied to fightingsiouxfan86's topic in Men's Hockey
I think you might be confusing the Big 10 subscription, which some people purchased a month pass to watch the Wisconsin series, with the NCHC.tv subscription. I heard from another person that the NCHC subscription had a few bumps, but for me it's been fine. 90SiouxFan was asking about the Big10 subscription. I did hear back just today on that one, so it may take a while, but should work out. -

You only have one option - send an email to this address: BTN2GoSupport@btn.com Include your name and email address that was used to sign up. I emailed about it last week, and only got the automated response so far. -
Patented Saturday letdown

14-0 first play of 2nd! Brilliant start, especially on D!
-
Miami's transition is causing a lot of turnovers at both blue lines. UND needs to clean that up, and get the puck deep. Pretty tough period by Thompson.
-
We probably won't find out until tomorrow at media day. I'm sure it'll be brought up in today's Herald chat though.
-
Even though CC was a joke last year, they did sweep the 2nd half series against DU. And at that point, the writing was basically on the wall for their season (as well as Scotty's coaching tenure.)
-
Record or not, it's very rare for a Sioux team to sweep in Wisconsin. Wins are wins, and if they find their game in the 2nd half, they could be good for PWR.
-
I thought Wisconsin looked better for a while tonight, but that 3rd goal just deflated them. Good for und to really pounce! Sweep!
-
This game has been much more entertaining than last night so far. Wisconsin looks way more engaged.
-
Impressed with the WPT feed so far. Not a glitch, granted not the best quality, but I expected our Sioux contingent would be too much.
-
I'm also surprised Mattson is out again tonight, especially with LaDue's injury. It could be a little bit of Panzerella deserving it as well as Hak maybe wanting the size/physicality he brings.
-
There were definitely some missed grade A chances, especially early on. Poganski, St. clair, and Schmaltz had open looks, but missed or rang iron. Rumpel was solid, as und threw a ton of rubber on net.

Nice comeback win in a tough atmosphere! I never really saw the killer instinct in Wisconsin. Very little offensive pressure, and und just kept rolling four lines of it. Special teams getting it done again. Before the game I thought Eaves was sand-bagging in his mid-week comments. Though the score was close I was glad to see how much better und is at this stage. All lines looked decent, but that Chyzyk, St. Clair, Murphy line really set the pace early. Agree on Zane; all sconny goals were first shots, and mostly clean looks.

Here in Rapid City, SD, I get Midco and the SD locals...so Midco Sports Net for UND FB and Hockey, no NDSU sports on my locals. However, it sounds like Midco has an interest in picking up broadcast rights for NDSU football when they become available.
-
So does that mean they vacate the win against UND in the Alaska Goal Rush?
-
Just a couple days to an old rival series! This seems like one of those times when the severe underdog rights the ship and gets revenge for the previous year's tourney loss. I've only seen it on TV, but the Kohl Center seems like a really fun place to play. Hopefully the guys are up to the challenge!

I have been surprised at the number of non-conference games shown on NCHC.tv so far where the home team is the non-NCHC team. The most recent were last week's UNO at Cornell games - both were available. When I heard Midco picked up Saturday's game, I was hopeful, but I guess I'll have to watch via alternative methods. -
WAIT...Hak has over 100 losses!? WHERE's MY PITCHFORK!
-
The first AFA goal was a guy left open in the slot - put that one on a missed assignment. The second goal of theirs was a really pretty tic-tac-toe passing play off the rush with a one-touch finish. That one was just great execution. UND had been pressuring a ton and the two saves on the General during the PP prevented the comeback from starting much earlier. I'd agree with those who said from early 2nd on UND was by far the better team.
-
My heart agrees with you, but the full body of work for those seasons say Denver and MN were "superior" if only by their record/ranking. Denver was also coming off a surprise national title the year before with a team that most consider better in all areas of the game than their 03/04 team. Last year, despite the loss, UND played its best game of the year against MN. I was a very proud fan.

Ryan Duncan or Chay Genoway?

NORTH DAKOTA vs. Air Force - US HALL OF FAME GAME
SiouxTupa replied to AZSIOUX's topic in Men's Hockey
I think Olson stays in the lineup for now. He's been impressive. Defensively, there seems to be no wrong play. St. Clair had to have been injured. He had a nice game Friday night, especially on the PK. Just like Chyzyk, very tenacious when they play with speed. Air Force won't be a cakewalk, they tend to play an aggressive style. It should be an entertaining game. -
Grinding, cycling shifts are clearly working again. Nice first career goal for Pogs!
-
Tough luck with a couple forwards going down (if that's what happened to StClair.) But I'm hoping Murphy can take the next step in his development after being a scoring machine in Jrs. They need another night with everyone working hard on every shift.
