Even CC might not get in if it ended today because of conference tournament winners. I have a tough time believing the WCHA will get more than 3 teams in this year, but I just can't see a team like Ohio State winning the entire year like they did in the first half. Some of those teams should falter up a bit. The selection committee wouldn't allow 7 CCHA teams either, otherwise there were more than a few instances in the past decade where the WCHA would have had at least 6 teams. These holiday tournaments for WCHA teams are HUGE in terms of the pairwise standings

No I guess I can't. Some of the people on the chat are kind of crazy. You have the super negatives and the super postives, plus the people always changing between the two.

I love college hockey so I watch all the games I can (including just about every UND game), and i'm a fan of Schloss. The guy does great work.

Who in their right mind would have guessed that Ohio State would be ranked #1 in the PWR at the midpoint of the season? I still think they'll be the B1G doormat with Penn State, though.

From what i've heard is that this player is definitely far more than a role player (AKA, a star player). My source has said that all the info he has is from "multiple sources" and that he knows who the player is and where he's going if he does leave. The source will not reveal anything unless it actually happens, though. If it happens you almost have to feel bad for BU fans (If it were BC nobody would care....F**k them) Edit: This same source wrote about the 2nd BU player leaving 2 days before it was announced Denver has gotten off to a really up and down start. Definitely not what I expected from them.

Oh boy. There's reports that "Another top BU player is considering leaving school." They've lost their leading and 3rd leading scorer already. Could this be the 2nd leading scorer? No reports on the name or why yet.

This one's been going for a couple weeks now. This sounds like a very promising rumor since it is from the staff of their club hockey team. There's also an unconfirmed rumor going around that if Illinois adds D1 hockey that a donor (can't remember his name) will step forward for Indiana as well and get them moved up to D1. There's also a lot of alumni "interested" and supportive of getting hockey at Iowa, but the chances for that one are very, very slim it seems. The B1G could turn out to be good for the sport if things keep going like this...never would have guessed that last year.

Just saw a "Breaking News" tweet saying that Illinois may be adding hockey. Don't know if the USCollegeHockey twitter account knows something new or if they just found out what has been known for some time now

Add that in with the fact that after they did go up by 4 the top line sat the rest of the game. I see nothing wrong with putting a dagger in the opponents heart. And a 4 goal win isn't that bad, I would understand Goons reasoning if it was a 6+ goal lead, but it wasn't. It was a tie game all throughout until the last 10 minutes of the game. If they were up 4 goals after 2 periods and were just rotating their first line in nothing would have been said. Teams do that all the time at every level, and yes Goon, UND does it as well (even with their PP units). Like I said earlier, it's your opponents job to stop you and if they can't then so be it. No reason to cry about it. Here's your proof UND plays their top lines too Goon. I'm with siouxnews on this even after watching the video. Helgeson put his hands in the face of the MTU player with his gloves on but never took his gloves off and threw punches like the Tech player. It wasn't caught on camera but Tech's goalie was challenging Patterson to a goalie fight as well haha. That would have been awesome

My favorite is when I was at the at the WCHA playoff series against the Gophs a couple years ago. Minnesota got a penalty with about 1 second left in the game and when I was walking out I had 3 people giving me crap saying, "Wow your team sucks and you start with a penalty tomorrow!" I just laughed and kept walking because I didn't want to explain the game to someone haha
