It's an infraction that is never monitored, happens everywhere, and was only pointed out in this case because the ncaa investigators spent a lot of time and money on Montana and couldn't come up with much to show for it. The bail payments were also paid by a parent of a local member of the team who was repaid by the arrested players' parents. It's not in any way uncommon for a local team member's parent to become the team mom and it would've been pretty difficult for the arrested players' parents to bail them out when they didn't live there. The ncaa investigators found that the athletic director was aware of the free legal services but Pflugrad wasn't. Plenty of sh*t has been thrown at Pflugrad, but IMO none of it sticks.

This team has never shown the desire or ability to do that.

What all those articles fail to mention is those "boosters" were parents of members of the team. I know some of the local UND parents have their kid(s) and his/her friends (teammates) over for meals too. There's nothing unusual about it. I wasn't a college athlete and neither were most of my friends, but for some reason my parents (UND boosters) fed us on occasion anyway. The fact that it is considered an infraction is ridiculous.

Yes it is, but the 2 have nothing to do with each other.

I don't know that the WAC can be considered big-time anymore, but it's a conference.

I find him quite enjoyable when he's ripping on the ncaa, notre dame, and espn.

He certainly has size and he appears to have a good mean streak. I don't follow national recruiting much, but why would a kid from Arkansas, interested in playing for Arkansas and Mizzou, a pre-season second team all-senior selection, want to play FCS in the upper midwest? If he actually does then that's great, but my troll sensors are tingling.

Both Pflu and Hoffner got bad deals at their former universities. I feel really bad for Hoffner, as being called a child sex offender is a tough rap to leave behind, even though the charges were absolutely ridiculous. I would fully support the hiring of Hoffner as an assistant/coordinator.

You're reading into things that aren't there. Brooks not applying wasn't a leak from UND, that poster (UNDVince) appears to be a family friend.

They said he woke up late. Good chance the rest of the staff didn't have any interaction with him that morning. Also, I don't know about you but I'm groggy and somewhat uncoordinated in the mornings whether I went out the night before or not.
