  1. Well we all know what's underground in Grand Forks is the same as what's underground in the OIL FIELDS.........
  2. Nice 1st post Although I agree the hiring process was ridiculous, your avatar fits you well. Now run along back to bville.
  3. You black out yet?
  4. No offense to LGBT, but....

  6. There was no explosion, but it's just as significant. http://www.huffingto..._n_4079323.html The 100,000 number is not even close to what it would actually be and has only been stated by a couple politicians (not pipeline execs). The Keystone XL may very well be a good project for some people (Canada and big oil), but it would raise energy prices in the Midwest and would not carry a fraction of the ND Bakken oil Fox News would like you to believe. Instead, it will carry some Saskatchewan Bakken crude. Now, do I think the gov't should block the construction of the Keystone XL? No, I typically believe in free-markets, even when it's not in everybody's best interest. I also believe Walmart is awful, but it doesn't mean I believe the gov't should keep them from opening a new store.
  7. Not real excited, but I'll trust Bubba's judgment.
  8. Prove it
  9. If this is about the Keystone, that wasn't going to take much, if any, ND Bakken oil anyway. Plenty of other pipelines are going in with little to no fanfare. Also, like trains, pipelines are far from fail-proof.
  10. And it took a decade for the population to recover.....
  11. Except this fight involved beating a police officer unconscious....
  12. There are certain players who are going to dominate their opponents no matter what league they're in, but I believe the bigger, stronger, and older/wiser players of the NCAA make it more difficult for offensively gifted players to put up dominant numbers. Players like Toews and Oshie, who were very good in the NCAA and put up good numbers at a young age, would have completely dominated (stats-wise) the little kids in the CHL.
  13. Well the Pflugrad detractors blamed him for allowing a culture of rape to grow at Montana. Apparently Minot has a culture of murder and the coach is responsible for establishing culture and recruiting good student-athletes. Note: I don't necessarily believe this, I'm simply pointing out how dumb the argument was from those who felt the need to justify the rejection of Pflugrad. Also, Pflugrad didn't try to bail out or hire lawyers for players.
  14. If Pflugrad can't make it after allowing a player's parent to post bail.......
  15. Of course that had nothing to do with money, future prospects for a promotion, or his conflicts with UNI HC Farley.
  16. 1. We don't know for sure whether he'll keep the same title at NDSU as he had at SIU. 2. If he does remain a QB coach, abandoning what appears to be a sinking ship to move back to your home state can be viewed as more of a move for family and job security than anything else.
  17. SIU's QB coach is headed to NDSU. Not sure why it's in this thread, but it is informative.
  18. Looks like a good athlete who can throw on the move and runs the read-option pretty well. Will need to fix the hitch in his throwing motion and add some more zip to his throws.

  20. Agreed
  21. He'd just leave at the first opportunity. IMO he's one of those guys who may be a better HC than coordinator anyway.
  22. Just curious as I've never seen much from him, why does Benton get time? He's completely useless on offense and he's far from a shut-down defender.
  23. I thought Bohl liked practicing outside to make his players tougher....
