  1. So.... coaches, we've got the HC, OC, and DC. Guessing we'll stick with Baukol as strength coach. Appears Freund may be sticking around as QBs (he also got married recently, congrats to him on that). Rumors surrounding a Minot asst Rodgers for DBs. Perhaps Schmidt does LBs along with his DC responsibilities. Would like to see Lotyz back for OL, give that man a parking space. That leaves Special Teams, DL, WR, and RBs.
  2. Jirik Jheriah Coincidence? I knew the guy sounded like he had the brain function of an 11 year old.
  3. Who is Cole Jirik and why should anyone care what he says?
  4. We only took 2 of those, the DC and LBs coach. If there's a bright spot on SIU's team, it's been the defensive side of the ball. NDSU took the QBs coach and EMU took the OC, so apparently we're not the only ones going after their staff.
  5. I almost feel bad for Lennon at this point. His entire staff is getting gutted. OC DC QBs LBs
  6. Perhaps they're intimated by our athleticism and how quickly we can get the ball up the floor? They probably wanted to control the tempo and really slow things down.
  7. Well we all know what's underground in Grand Forks is the same as what's underground in the OIL FIELDS.........
  8. Nice 1st post Although I agree the hiring process was ridiculous, your avatar fits you well. Now run along back to bville.
  9. No offense to LGBT, but....
  10. http://blogs.marketwatch.com/energy-ticker/2013/12/31/buffetts-year-end-bet-pipelines/
  11. There was no explosion, but it's just as significant. http://www.huffingto..._n_4079323.html The 100,000 number is not even close to what it would actually be and has only been stated by a couple politicians (not pipeline execs). The Keystone XL may very well be a good project for some people (Canada and big oil), but it would raise energy prices in the Midwest and would not carry a fraction of the ND Bakken oil Fox News would like you to believe. Instead, it will carry some Saskatchewan Bakken crude. Now, do I think the gov't should block the construction of the Keystone XL? No, I typically believe in free-markets, even when it's not in everybody's best interest. I also believe Walmart is awful, but it doesn't mean I believe the gov't should keep them from opening a new store.
  12. Not real excited, but I'll trust Bubba's judgment.
  13. If this is about the Keystone, that wasn't going to take much, if any, ND Bakken oil anyway. Plenty of other pipelines are going in with little to no fanfare. Also, like trains, pipelines are far from fail-proof.
  14. And it took a decade for the population to recover.....
  15. Except this fight involved beating a police officer unconscious....
  16. There are certain players who are going to dominate their opponents no matter what league they're in, but I believe the bigger, stronger, and older/wiser players of the NCAA make it more difficult for offensively gifted players to put up dominant numbers. Players like Toews and Oshie, who were very good in the NCAA and put up good numbers at a young age, would have completely dominated (stats-wise) the little kids in the CHL.
  17. Well the Pflugrad detractors blamed him for allowing a culture of rape to grow at Montana. Apparently Minot has a culture of murder and the coach is responsible for establishing culture and recruiting good student-athletes. Note: I don't necessarily believe this, I'm simply pointing out how dumb the argument was from those who felt the need to justify the rejection of Pflugrad. Also, Pflugrad didn't try to bail out or hire lawyers for players.
  18. If Pflugrad can't make it after allowing a player's parent to post bail.......
