  1. If ESPN starts showing more sports and less soap opera, maybe I'll start watching it again.....
  2. http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/borowitzreport/2014/07/lebron-to-announce-decision-at-united-nations.html
  3. Germany up 3-0 over Brazil 24 minutes in. This one could get ugly...... Edit: Make that 4-0 at the 25 minute mark. Edit#2: 5-0 at the 28 minute mark.
  4. Wasn't sure where to put this, but the old/former LV Imperial Palace has been purchased by Caesars and will be undergoing a $200+ million remodel. http://finance.yahoo...-070920641.html
  5. Not many games in the Betty again this year. Need to do something better than scheduling NAIAs and D2s at home.
  6. Yep. They just need a smaller playing surface, half the players, use something smaller instead of a beach ball, have the players carry sticks, and play the game on ice for extra speed and then they might be onto a pretty decent sport. The players would need to wear a different style of shoe to have better traction on the ice, perhaps a boot with a single blade instead of multiple cleats. I dunno, any engineers on the board that can design something?
  7. I could have sworn those "assault rifles" were illegal in Britain....
  8. In 60 minutes of hockey, each goalie is going to make around 30 saves. In 90 minutes of soccer/futbol, each goalie is going to make around 3 saves. As I've watched a bit more of this World Cup, I've found some teams to be somewhat more enjoyable to watch. The Mexico-Netherlands game was fairly entertaining and fast-paced. However, watching team USA play is akin to watching paint dry.
  9. Watching the Americans flop all over the field is just embarrassing.....
  10. For most of the fans in ND it was fine. For the fans in Minneapolis/St. Paul and the rest of the country (Denver and Phoenix are probably the next 2 big alumni centers), the lack of FCS coverage was a huge dissapointment. Edit: Nevermind, lack of availability in Fargo means it didn't even work well for a large percentage of fans in North Dakota.
  11. They said the smell is prevalent throughout the building, not specifically this apartment.
  12. I'm aware of the laws. They weren't.
  13. Not gonna touch most of this conversation, but I have several friends who were not allowed to vote in the primaries because they are students/recent grads and still had their parents' address on their ID. Others had a former address, as most students don't reside at the same location for long. Have a Bismarck address but currently reside in Fargo/Grand Forks, sorry, you aren't allowed to vote. Have a north Fargo address but currently reside in south Fargo, sorry, you need to drive 20 minutes north to vote. The voter ID law in ND is purely there to discourage/block college students from voting, as we all know a majority of them support a certain minority party.
  14. Although their food is decent, the service at the Tavern in the Canad makes me want to add them to the list.
  15. Congrats. Tell him it's time to retire.
  16. So..... any Big Sky news?
  17. McDonalds followed closely by Grizzly's, Ponderosa, and Golden Corral
  18. "I can't refute anything you say, so I'm going to make fun of your message board grammar."
  19. I was under the impression Toppers was in the building off 32nd that 42nd street eatery moved to before burning down?
  20. HuHot in Bismarck is always getting written up for health code violations. It certainly does "feel" cleaner than the average buffet though.
  21. I'm not sure Kelley even has a vision for what he wants UND to be. He needs to retire soon. Bresciani is an a$$, but he's got a lot more drive than Kelley.
