Nice job avoiding the question. Plenty of differing programs and laws by state. Why can't California just provide free college education, healthcare, maternity leave, and housing to its residents and leave Alabama out of it?

Why doesn't the left enact their ideas at the state level in the states they control? Why does it need to be federally imposed on the rest of the country?

There are definitely different measuring standards depending on location. Downtown Portland is much more walkable than Seattle, not accounting for riots. The beer scene is better in Portland too, IMO. Avoid some of the tech-inflated real estate prices as well, no?
