Based on how his commitment was originally reported, it seemed he was going to get a partial (no idea how much). A fair explanation is we were pushing him to play defense and it looks like Winona will keep him at WR. Good luck to him, though decommitting in the last week before signing day is unfortunate. More money available for someone else.
The vote to invite UND to join mvfc was unanimous. Weird, all the mvfc bros on the message boards said we weren't good enough for them. Thought they had pull.
Also, champions club donations aren't allocated to any specific sport in those reports when 80% are from men's hockey, 20% are from football, and 0% are from all other sports (my guesstimates only, but the 3rd number is accurate).
I'm assuming it was something academic-related (not that he's a bad student necessarily, but that he didn't meet course requirements or something of that nature for admission to UND or for ncaa clearinghouse). 247 still has him committed to us, so apparently he hasn't chosen another school at this point.
Once the mvfc stabs us in the back today it will give UND the motivation and backing necessary to complete Faison's master plan of securing alumni donations for the FBS WACK. Duh.
The disappointing thing about the Schweigert hire was it took 2 weeks longer than it needed to because Faison had no idea what he was doing, resulting in player defections and missed recruits.
