  1. For the hundredth time, other campuses have been cutting too.
  2. Dalrymple cut around 6.5% and ordered budget requests for the next cycle to cut another 3.5%. Burgum cut another 10% beyond that with a few adjustments for health insurance and other costs. Tuition was increased by 4% minimum per year though, so that made up for some of it. How's that blackhawk helicopter doing outside your place?
  3. Can't remember who posted it here first, but...
  4. If it was broken down by campus, it may paint a different picture. Having so many small campuses in North Dakota inflates our numbers, as they lack the economies of scale.
  5. http://www.sheeo.org/sites/default/files/SHEF_FY2017.pdf - Page 27 doesn't support this.
  6. It should also have teeth and dance the Macarena
  7. The Hawks supporters shouldn't be required to just allow themselves to be censored/shouted down though either.
  8. And charitable gambling....
  9. I believe Merz was from Missouri or Kansas or something like that.
  10. Still a hole in this recruiting class. He'll be a sophomore rather than redshirting as a freshman.
  11. "Back." I highly doubt student fees have been reduced. Guessing they're just being redirected.
  12. I'd go with 16. Some kids are already enrolling at 17.
  13. Students who appeared to have been drinking underwent additional security checks and were given minors (if underage) by the police stationed at the student entrance.
  14. And student attendance at hockey games has actually been an issue since the Kelley crackdown.
  15. Looks more like a money grab than an attendance issue. Students should review the fees they're paying for athletics.
  16. Gfhockey doesn't really know anything.
  17. The common schools trust fund is for k-12 schools. I guess using a one time resource like the legacy fund to maintain administrative bloat at the universities just wasn't seen as a good move.
  18. Auggie isn't small and crappy compared to just the P5 and G5. It's small and crappy compared to the rest of the summit, the schools you're suggesting allow it to join them. Its enrollment is minuscule, it receives no state appropriation, and it doesn't have a legitimate endowment to make up for it. It has no business even being discussed as a potential summit member.
  19. Tons of credit card debt racked up in many of those hockey families. Perception and keeping up with the Joneses is everything.
  20. Logo on the sleeve in October 2016. End narrative.
  21. Entirely possible.
  22. No idea who or what is responsible, but Bismarck, Fargo, and Minot potholes aren't nearly as bad as those in Grand Forks, so it's gotta be more than just the weather. Whether it's due to poor initial construction, poor maintenance, or something else should be looked into by city leadership.
  23. Potholes happen, but Washington St is abnormal.
