yeah go to the Chirachuas and you swear Wile E Coyote must be there - I did see the RoadRunner. Congratulations on surviving the Sorry Gulch. Love the San Franciscos and Sedona. Congrats to the Jacks on having the best team you've had in many years. Sorry, but I hope UND can parlay the home field into enough of an advantage. The Sioux need to get back on track.

No, my daughter goes to The U of North Dakota, but grew up in southeastern Arizona - Sierra Vista. A lot of Buena grads go to NAU, and she would always give her brother a bad time about NAU. Have nothing against NAU & think Flagstaff is a beautiful town. Just wish I could afford to live there.

Taylor's next job just opened up... Miami's history would not preclude Taylor's resume Miami Searching for AD Stability -

Lets bump this thread so the Montana State rivalry thread can get back on track. Darrell, The "problem" with NDSU's OOC scheduling, if there is one, is that it is working. Call them cupcakes if you want, the AC plays weak BCS schools and win, they play weaker FCS schools and win, so they pad their resume, and more importantly boost the players' egos (if they need any more help after winning a D-I national championship). Bohl does a good job of not letting his team look beyond weaker opponents and lose games they should win. Then they go and win more conference games. Faison and Mussman should be paying attention. I would say that hate them if you want, but Taylor and Bohl have a system that works. If you were in their shoes, would you be willing to roll the dice and possibly lose to a regional rival (maybe not a conference rival anymore but definitely a recruiting rival) and risk losing? I still say the only way this rivalry will resume (at least as long as Taylor is at NDSU) is in the playoffs. And then, unfortunately, since the Fargodome is bigger than the Alerus, it will be in Fargo every time until UND is the top ranked FCS team and NDSU has to travel in a late round semifinal. -
must be a classic case of UxD being confused with xDSU

these things are changed (or terminated) all the time

Why would UND bring back a coach who ran away from the transition period and has had no success at the D-I level? With the schedule UND has this year, the expectation that UND would make the playoffs was unrealistic. It has been a tough reality check, but if the Sioux can't beat Northern Colorado, then it is definitely "Houston, we have a problem" and Lennon has not proven he would be the one who could fix it by what he has done at Southern Illinois.

Any indication who will start at EWU?

AGS & CS threads are so frequently hijacked by Bison posters that they do think that these are Bison boards. More than just Lakes. And it also seems that they are always looking to trash other teams - usually UND but also UNI and any Big Sky team, and on and on. It's like an old, scratched vinyl record that skips back again and again. It just gets old.

How do you bench the most efficient passer in FCS? I understand that you really shouldn't bench Hanson because of an injury, but how can you justify benching someone who has played as well as Henderson has for the last 10 quarters?

NMSU's Boston is still talking about a WAC/Big Sky merger. Wednesday's Albuquerque Journal: http://www.abqjournal.com/sports/2012/09/13/boston-nmsu-is-talking-to-the-big-sky.html

can't believe this thread has gone on for 39 pages!

Well, yeah that is the perspective of my post, but the whole thing was a little tongue in cheek. Just poking a little fun at our (a rival's) fan board revelling so much in the misfortune of the people who worked so hard to get these measures on the ballot legally. And... What IF they got away with it on the Sioux nickname initiative on last June's ballot?

A couple of wildly divergent thoughts... Who that collects signatures on petitions reads the names/signatures of all the people who sign? Maybe, and this is a b-I-g maybe, the guys collecting the signatures are guilty of nothing more than not comparing IDs to signatures. Don't think this is what happened, but let's not throw everyone under the bus right away. Second thought: What if this is not the first petition drive these guys worked? Maybe these guys got away with doing this on the Sioux nickname petition drive and were not spot checked on the signatures that were forged. Bottom line is that this is all speculation on a rival team's fan forum. We can think whatever we want, but the only thing that matters is that the people who worked so hard to get these initiatives on the ballot are now screwed because of forged signatures.

yes they do!

ouch! reality sets in.

I must ask: what makes the Norse better than the Huns? (Krauts may be a little too rough) After all, there are just as many with German heritage as Norwegian, and many of us are both. edit: don't like either one, personally

NMSU is saying merger talks with the Big Sky are not dead yet. Star2City (siouxfan) where are you? Aggie football isn't only sport affected by conference shuffle Saturday Aug 25

Unless Idaho, NMSU, Denver & Seattle pull something out of their collective a$$e$ like enticing Montana, MSU, UND and a couple more to move over, you can just go ahead and drop the WAC & move the Big East to the below the line list: SEC, Pac 12, B1G, ACC, Big 12 ------- the line ------- C-USA, Sun Belt, MAC, Mountain West, Big East As 82 SiouxGuy said, the difference between above and below the line will more than likely be stipends, not # of scholarships - TV $$
